This old medina is huge, with so many shops and restaurants and riads, snake charmers, monkey handlers, orange juice vendors, spices, clothing, "antiques" and antiques... And what a place to haggle! Find out what fair prices are ahead of time, and dive in with a sense of humor and ramp up the drama. The shopkeepers are friendly and very funny...... More

This place is ruined by the uncontrolled use of motorbikes and scooters in confined spaces. They are noisy, dangerous and polluting - this is shocking for breathing and food hygiene. some of the young riders are just cowboys who are very intimidating. Without these it is bustling and colourful and could be really nice. If you want to keep attracting... More

I found La Medina a bit intimidate surrounding by cars ..people ..donkeys coming and going ..A bit crazy tour we had ..Our rep warned us about pickpockets and theft in the surroundings of Medina. But amazing place ; a big market where you can find from a needle to the Aladin magic carpet.

The old, walled Medina remains the heart of Marrakesh and is a must see sight in North Africa, although that does not mean it's always pleasant. It is where the medieval world meets the modern life. The winding alleys, ancient architecture, decorated mosques and bustling souks are the backdrop for daily life continuing here as it has for centuries. However,... More

We have spent a perfect day going around in the Medina. It was very nice, clean, antique with a rustic feel like. It was a great experience. We have loved it.

Been here during the day yesterday , walked around and some nice bits like Moroccan lamps etc then the usual tat. Everyone hassling you, eyeing you up to rip you off, people calling to you, women trying to sell henna for your hand. If someone tries to help you in ANY way like show you directions DO NOT go with... More

Worth experiencing, especially at night that's when it truly comes alive with all strange types of acts and amazing foods, the smells are unbelievable. Be prepared to be mithered to death by the people in the food stalls though!

A little disappointed with the Medina, mainly because there's too much pollution from all the boys on mopeds racing around the narrow streets which really should be pedestrians only, and the drains when it's particularly hot.
