Marrakech even though it's child friendly there isn't much to do for kids! But walking round the souks and seeing all the amazing things for sale managed to occupy my 2 year old! Be careful of all the bikes whizzing by and of course watch out for donkeys! We loved just browsing at all the spices, tea pots and colourful... More

So much fun can be had walking the souk lanes. It is not necessary to get a guide but far more fun to walk and twist and turn. Expect to get thoroughly lost and have the locals guide you via more souk! rather than direct way back to square. If you are not rushed you do eventually pop out in... More

If you like a good haggle and are prepared to have some good banter with the sellers this is the place! You can find lots of amazing things to buy- but be prepared to fight for your price! It won't just be doubled they will get what they can- find a trustworthy local to give you an idea on prices-... More

A must see, must do activity. There different parts of the Souk hosts for different types of goods - tanneries, spices, clothing, and on and on.

Typical shopping for a "deal experience". Beautiful place in the middle of the town. Mandatory visit

The souks were generally ok. No, aggressive selling like in Jemaa el-fna. You walk about without any troubles, you'll find lots of tourists there, the only thing to be aware is your valuables as there can be pickpockets. The souks are like a maze so you'll get lost easylly. Don't accept anything from anyone in Marrakech, there's no free stuff,... More

We took a guide around the Souk on our first day - a wise choice. When we returned on our own the next day, the hawkers turned up in numbers. We were expecting this, so had fun negotiating and bargaining. However, their attitude would suggest that Marrakech has been spoilt by tourists - nobody was willing to haggle to 'reasonable'... This souk was one of the main attractions I wanted to visit especially since I was very fond of the Moroccon lanterns and spices. I did buy a few candles and lanterns and spices but make sure you haggle. That's the worst part of shopping in Marrakech I felt .There is never a right price and you got to haggle... More

Its always a treat going here. Yes people will approach you to buy but say no and they will leave you alone. Its a crazy place but the people are friendly and helpful. Haggle...you have to to get a true bargain.
