This is a must do when in the city to really get a feel for Marrakech! Lots of bargains can be found however beware of the workers. I visited with a female friend and we were constantly stared at, heckled and generally made to feel uncomfortable. This is a shame as it is a part of the city which should... More

The souks are amazing. However I have to stress there are women who will take your arm and atempt to lead you, or henna tattoo the ladies. I walk with a stick and thehand that holds the stick was pulled causing me to fall! Some have no concept of respect. Food is cheap however if you are after local goods,... More

Tiny narrow streets where you can buy anything known to man and more, haggle if you really want something or go to the Ensemble Artisan where you can buy in peace and at set prices, you cannot visit Marrakech without a trip to the souks....

You enter the Souk from the main square. The main square has a lot of entertainment, with dancers, monkeys and snake charmers. You did get hassled for money (dirhams) when taking their photos. Once you enter the Souk, there is a myriad of craft, leather and metal workers. There is a number of different smells including spices, herbs, teas, dates... More

A vibrant maze of tiny streets full of lots of shops/stalls selling fairly standard goods but with some hidden gems where you can buy more special items. An experience in itself with eateries scattered throughout. You can get a guide but we chose not to, didn't feel intimidated one bit & there was little hard selling. A must visit

Took my time walking through the souks, found some bargains and haggled for some others! Great atmosphere and fun to haggle, drink mint tea and watch everyone and everything how its been for hundreds of years! Be careful to research other stores before commiting and go in with a very low price and very slowly go up, be prepared to... More

Beautiful part of Marrakech. Amazing food and entertainment options. Good for families and younger travellers. Went here 3 nights in a row.

The souks of Marrakech are really worth a half day. Be prepared to get lost but that is half the fun. Metal workers, leather workers and lots of traditional artisan craft workers can be seen here still.
