We visited the square in both day and night. In the day, there were plenty of people milling about. Stalls, Snake charmers, monkeys and Henna sellers. Please be careful, or you will end up with a snake around your neck and a monkey on your back although people do listen when you say no. Firmly. Also do not get henna... More

This square was super busy at night and filled with people who were selling things. It's super busy with lots of people and tons of people trying to sell you stuff. It's a HUGE market. I enjoyed it, just really crowded

Great experience visiting here. Loved the atmosphere. Can get very crowded and yo will be very close to other people. Lots of nudges and people brushing past you. Keep your wits as I assume there are plenty of pick pockets Definitely try to get a spot at one of the roof top cafes to check the square come alive at... More

Prepared to be hassled and hassled and hassled and hassled again. Incredible variety of market stalls, I would recommend offering a third of the original price asked, bought a Moroccan tea set for 200MAD when it was originally offered for 680MAD. You could probably go lower again. Worth learning Moroccan for no thanks so that you can let them know... More

A very vibrant and colorful place. A lot of stuff going on. The street artists will try to approach you and pretend to know you. Unless you like this kind of attention, try to ignore them and they will leave you alone. Other than that enjoy the atmosphere and try to go to the first floor of one of the... More

I would recommend have lunch or a tea on the "Cafe de France", it is not too expensive, even though it is not cheap. But it is really worth it and from there you can take very nice photos. If you want to see the environment at night, just take a quick walk of no more of 5 minutes, the... More

The calling out and even touching of your arm to grab attention in the square was constant for me. My riad was close and I often found myself in and around the square. Each time there was multiple encounters with henna or shoe shine vendors aggressively trying to get my attention, done by touching me on the arm. I never... More

Overall we were a little disappointed with this place and the surrounding souks. It's something of a culture shock and the variety of sights, smells and sounds is interesting, but there's a sameness to it which becomes very familiar after a strolling around for a while. There was a very limited choice of restaurant/cafe options in the area. It's worth... More

Marrakech is truly a must see destination, with unmatched history and sites. Words cannot describe the excitement and chaos of Jamaal El fnaa one would have to see this ancient bustling city in person. Great for shoppers looking for leather goods and jewelry. Please remember to smell the leather before purchasing because if it reeks of pigeon poop which is... More

Don't be put off to try the food at the stalls - it's delicious Just be weary of puck picketers and also beggars - they're everywhere, the people at our hotel said don't give them anything they will only ask for more
