Absolute blast exploring our way around the markets. Anything you will be looking for - you will find. Be sure to bargain! For true travellers who want to take a piece of history and Morocco home - be sure to buy an authentic vase. We found the vases from Fes to be most authentic and craftsmanship of higher standard 👌

This square comes alive at night with stalls, snake charmers, musicians and generally a lot of people wanting your money. You do need your wits about you as one evening I had a young boy trying to sell cakes then started to hug me at the same time as patting me down to find my wallet. A good tip is... More

Would definitely recommend eating in the square - better than some of the restaurants around it, and way more atmospheric. Prepare to have all your senses bombarded at the same time. Wish we'd done it every night!

To be fair it is 3 1/2 stars for the novelty but really is just a tourist trap, boys selling knock of watches, and anything else you could desire. It has to be seen once but that will suffice. The food tents are rip off, we had a very mediocre, quite expensive meal there, there are far better options. We... More

Don't expect to relax while hanging out on the square. It's packed of people selling various items, street food, fresh orange juice, musicians, beggars, women doing body painting with henna, little monkeys and so on. Definitely a must see in Marrakech! For the food, I strongly recommend Krita, the stand number 14 for the food. I've been advised by a... More

A must visit location. Don't be put off by the constant attention of snake charmers, henna ladies, monkey men and fake guides! Just accept it's all part of the charm! Try and visit late in the day and after nightfall as this is when you can see it at its best. Have a drink on one of the surrounding balconies... More

The highlight during the day are the snake charmers and the fresh juice stalls. Juices are all freshly squeezed and are bursting with flavours. Nights are for the snacking stalls and try to eat at stalls that are busy. There are many shops selling souvenirs and do not feel shy to bargain. It is a way of life here!

Bit of a culture shock but loved it. Lively and fun. Just need to learn how to say NO to people as many street vendors will try to get your attention which could resemble borderline harassment. But I truly loved the place.

It's difficult...the square is such a hub that you have to go and see it and there are lots of bars around to enjoy a drink in the evening, but we both thought it was nicer viewed from a bar terrace than actually in the square. It's a nice place to grab a very cheap fruit juice, we didn't eat... More

Very hot during day, after sunset it was very nice and alive. Both tourists and locals. Was a circus to find bbq, hilarious. A must experience in Marrakech
