Manic-much prefered the souks.

Hassle hassle hassle! relentless sellers and stall holders who became angry if you said no.Had to be seen but the animal welfare was upsetting. Monkeys being dragged along on chains in dresses, donkeys with front legs tied together-cruel and sad to see. Loved the place but the cruelty marred the trip for me.

Enjoyable, but be cautious of people trying to rip you off

Good, if a little hectic with people trying to sell you things or come into their food stall.

Watch out for the henna tattoo ladies who will start to draw on your hand without asking and demand then demand payment.

Tanjia dish was great!!!

This is an insider tour! It was an amazing way to see behind the scenes of Marrakech. Our guide was amazing telling stories about how the locals lived back in time compared to today. We had samples of local dishes ended with a special local Marrakech dish (tangia) . I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Marrakech night tour!

Beautiful square with lots of hagglers

Beautiful and colourful world famous square which unfortunately is ruined by people who want to sell you something. You have annoying snake charmers, henna ladies, food stall people. They will all stop you and try to get your money. Unfortunately you cannot simply walk around and browse.

Good local street foods amidst many rip offs and abusive vendors
Oct 2021 • Solo
I really wish this place was exactly what it looks like and is thought to be before actually visiting it. A huge square where tourists and locals gather in the evening to enjoy amazing street food in a hectic, vibrant and full of pathos environment. Unfortunately, as soon as you step into the plaza and stroll around a bit, an uncomfortable realization unravels. Most street food stall vendors start chasing you as soon as they realize you are a foreigner, approaching in a seemingly friendly manner, asking where you are from, promising free drinks if you eat at their stall, insisting you seat there, being just very annoying when the only thing you'd want is looking around to have a general impression of what is being offered. The fresh fruit sellers will call you from meters away, shouting "hello my friend this is free, try this" in every possible language until they find the one you respond to turning your head towards them. Then they'll hand you a sample of fresh juice and once you accept it they have already started filling the big cup that you'll have to buy or they'll start becoming abusive and aggressive, especially if you have already taken pictures of them, shouting "pictures are not free". If you are particularly unlucky, you ll also be approached by individuals with snakes, monkeys and funny dresses, very happy to appear and perform in your photos/videos until you have stopped the record button, after which the abusive behaviour starts, asking you to pay 200 dhiram each. A very disheartening spectacle. There is something to be enjoyed in Jemaa El fna however. If you push through the annoying chasers, saying I've already eaten and avoiding eye contact, you'll find some stalls packed with locals and with owners that don't chase you because they are too busy serving their customers. Here you can sit elbow to elbow with Moroccan people chatting with them and eating grilled fish, sheep's cheek meat, snail soups and experience the true maroccan street food scene of jema El fnaa.

I love El Fnaa place
Sep 2021
By far one of the most epic places I ever visited in morocco. Through the activities in El Fnaa place I felt like I saw different aspects of the moroccan culture and history. In addition, the food there was very good at every little stand I would try and it was also very original since I had never heard about it or saw something like it. Must visit!

The red city , I love it .. !
Very exciting tour where you come to a place that you probably wouldn't discover on your own. We were able to try different products and got an insight into the traditional production of food. We had a very competent guide who explained and showed us everything. It was a really great experience!
