The city is very interesting and the museum is spectacular. The building is beautiful. It’s located at the center of the city, close to the main square of the city.

It is a beautiful museum with various arts and painting. But most of the details are written only in Arabic or French. There is no English translation or audio provided. So we just saw the paintings and art and enjoyed the beauty of it. Inside...More

Rain and museums go together! But what a disappointment. The interior courtyard is stunning with beautiful tiled floors, elegant arches and wonderful decoration. There the positives end. There is no information by the artefacts regarding a date of production. The displays were all dusty and...More

Interesting enough but should have more artifacts and provide more history. We went through it in 10 minutes.

Two huge disadvantages - high price (50 DH) and everything in Arabic/Berber or in French. So it does not make you feel as if you are visiting a place where history is preserved. To me it appeared as if we came here because someone suggested...More

This place has been renovated with a sense of beauty and style. Especially the main square is now covered and holds an enormous traditional Morrocan lamp. Not too much to see but the modern art was nice as were all the tiles.

If you are fluent in Arabic or French, you may get some pleasure from a visit to this museum, however, if, like me, your language skills are limited to English, don’t bother with this place, unless you are taking shelter from a rain storm. Although...More

This museum truly encapsulates the historical and cultural context behind Marrakech. I stumbled upon here after visiting the Ben Yousef Madrasa and I am amazed by the courtyards and the artwork on display here, which is comparable to the Berber Museum at the Jardin Majorelle....More

Visited the museum...and unfortunately we were disappointed. Apart from not understanding any descriptions....to be expected as we arent in an English speaking country but there really was very little on display. The architecture of the building and is mosaics were the highlight. 50 dirhams a...More

There are lots of interesting things to see in this museum, but the displays are dingy and poorly labelled. The building is very fine, but lacking in atmosphere somehow. If this is THE Museum of Marrakech, it doesn't sell the history, geography or culture of...More

We went directly there and we visited on our own. So, you don’t need a tour guide. Maybe you can book it there, I think that it’s better.

Sorry I didn't see your question until now. I didn't make a note of the price but am pretty sure it was 30d. There was very little that cost more than that!
