We had a wonderful time on the trip to the Sahara Desert with Mohammad. ( Sorry if I spell your name wrong). It was the best decision we ever made. Going to the sahara desert was such an amazing experience. You do spend the majority...More
We just returned from a 3 day Moroccan Desert tour from Marrakech. We booked a private tour through contacting Camel Safaries directly. We are a family of 5 including three children (ages 17, 12, and 8). We cannot say enough good things about this tour....More
To be fair, the whole trip was tiring, but totally worth it. We spent more than 20 hours in a mini bus which was exhausting. The locals were very friendly on every stop. I would advise you to buy your scarf from Marrakech, before departure,...More
We’ve joined the tailor made 10 days tour exploring Morocco. They arrange all the hotels, routes and meals. The experience was so good. Especially in Sahara desert, we’ve tried other desert experiences before, most of those are very raw with very few facilities, but the...More
Found Camel Safaries via Trip Advisor based on excellent 5 star ratings from other travellers and they were right! This tour did not disappoint, I highly recommend this trip and the organisation. The experience was great from beginning to end - starting with Ali who...More
My wife and I came to Morocco for our honeymoon and decided to take a three-days trip with them from Marrakech to Sahara because of all the accolades on their trip.

My wife and I went on a quick trip to Morocco and decided to take the 3-day desert tour. Our guide Moha was excellent. I tend to be a nervous rider and the roads in Morocco can seem treacherous, but Moha's driving kept me off...More
I had a great time with our guide Mohamed and our fun little group of six. There was a lot of time spent in the van, but it was pretty comfortable and our driver, Hassan, drove efficiently and safely. We made lots of stops for...More
We went on a three day tour to the High Atlas and Sahara two weeks ago. From start to finish we had a fantastic time. Mohamed, our guide, was full of knowledge and a funny person too. All in all I would highly recommend the...More
It was our first time in Morocco and this tour helped us to know many things about the people, food, culture, the way they live, etc. Our tour guide Youssef was very friendly, courteous and professional. He was always ready to resolve our questions and...More

Saw twice a week flights to Zagora I think which is by the Sahara. Of course down side is an extra day or so in desert area where not much else to do. Ourzazate will save a few hours although still a long drive from there to desert. Worst part of drive is from Marrakech to Ourzazate because you have to go on windy road through mountains which will be hard if your child becomes car sick.

That is very far in advance. They need a number of people to make doing the tour viable so i reckon they dont have enough signed up for that day yet. When i booked my tour (about 3 weeks in advance) they responded to me a few days later to say that they could not run a tour on my chosen day but could the next day, or 3 days later, or they would refund my money. They know that most people come to Morocco for 1 week so its very likely that your tour will be possible but it might start a day earlier or later. Its why they ask what flights you are arriving/leaving on when you book. But you csn always contact them through viator (if ypu booked with viator which most do) or direct.
