Big alley in the souks!

When we searched for Mouassine museum, we walked on this alley around the souks. If you don't have a map or GPS, this is the street for exit or enter in this part of souks. Less... read more

One of the most beautiful and colorful streets in the medina with lots of interesting crafts but crowded by tourists as usual and too much hustling by vendors...

We followed this road to take us into Souk - much more straightforward. Lots of alleyways with small mosques, and interesting looking Riad doors. Not sure why this is an attraction in itself as this is part of the central medina.

I stayed in this area of Marrakech for the second year, and wasn't disappointed upon my return. The main souks are an experience and there are some real bargains to be had but for a more relaxed and laid back experience, Rue du Mouassine is much nicer and not so frantic! It's worth going to the souks in Fna square... More

This alley is like shopping for beginners less stress, you can just potter along without getting overly harrassed nice eateries along it has well, once you feel confident head into the souks.

This is the road that leads south by Cafe Franc back to our Riad it's reduced pressure compared to the Souk but not as much of a selection. They are selling the same stuff as the souk but they allow you to browse the shops a bit easier.

This street helped us know our way many times in the medina. It runs south-north from the jemma el-fna. There are a ton of shops but quite frankly it is just tiring to always be harassed and questioned on your way to your riad. Just say no if you don't want to be bothered and prepare to say it again... Rue de Mouassine on the North of the square runs down to Rue dar el Bacha and coming from the square is lined with shops selling all sorts of items. It's on the edge of the souks but wider and easier to navigate. Enter the archway at bab Fteuh and you are on your way. T-shirts and football strips, an... More

The last street approaching Djemma el Fna from the north west Rue Mouassine is a right turn from Rue Dar el Bacha. It harbours an eclectic mix of attractions including a local hammam (separate facilities for ladies and gents), three mosques which we noticed, and a plethora of bazaars (including an amazing carpet emporium entered by huge brass doors) and...
