Three friends and I spent 16 fabulous days in Morocco in April/May 2016.

Our trip was coordinated and customized through Karyn, whose office is located in British Columbia, Canada. Our driver and guide, Aziz, has an office in Marrakesh.

I have travelled broadly throughout many countries and I must acknowledge, the itinerary coordinated by Dadani Destinations & Tours Inc. has been the best by far.

At all times prior to and during our time in Morocco, both Karyn and Aziz were professional, attentative and dedicated to each of us in the group.

Karyn worked closely with our group in the coordination of the land package. She provided a lot of information, details and direction on the sites to see throughout Morocco, including information on the accommodation and the Moroccan culture. She was simply amazing.

Aziz’s knowledge on the history and diversity of his country, it’s people and the culture was outstanding. His commitment to ensure visitors receive an overall understanding and experience of Morocco far exceeded our expectations. His driving skills and his wonderful personality and sense of humour made us feel safe, comfortable and welcomed. He is a true ambassador for his country.

The whole trip was exceptional and memorable. Morocco’s culture is still embraced in rich traditions. A few of the many highlights during our trip was a visit to Chefchaouen. A picturesque and enchanted village with winding paths, buildings painted in various shades of blue, tucked away near the Reef Mountains. I enjoyed having lunch with Aziz’s family in their home located in Erfoud. They welcomed us with open hearts and were very kind. Experiencing the majestic Sahara Desert, as we rode our camels into the dunes was breathtaking, then overnighting in a cradle of dunes in a very comfortable tent. Driving towards the Dades Gorge was also spectacular. The drive from Ourzazae to Essaouira across the High Atlas Mountains was breathtaking and spiritual. The small seaside village of Essaouira was my favourite. It is small, quaint and charming, however, there is so much to see and do. We stayed three days, I could have stayed much longer. Our final destination was Marrakesh where we had the opportunity to take a private cooking class in our riad. This was a great experience and loads of fun. In the evening, Aziz took us for a stroll through the Djemaa Fna Square. The fragrant air from the food stalls and the energy and vibes of the locals was truly exhilarating.

So many memories created that will never be forgotten. Thank you Karyn and Aziz!

If you plan to visit Morocco, I highly recommend you contact Dadani Destinations & Tours to coordinate your trip. I plan to visit Morocco again and I will definitely have Karyn and Aziz plan the trip.

We have just returned from a 14 day trip to Morocco organized by Dadani. We selected this company based on reviews and discussions with Karyn and we were not disappointed. Any questions were answered promptly and in detail. Everything was well organized and of a high standard. We really enjoyed the Riads they selected. The food was excellent, the accommodation wonderful and the architecture and culture made us really feel that we were experiencing Morocco. The trip to the Sahara, through the mountains and to the coast were all exceptional. Aziz, our guide, was great company for the two weeks. He listened to what we wanted and was very flexible, creating a mountain hike for us when he realized we needed a break from being in the car. Going with the local guide and experiencing the wonderful scenery made for another great day. Aziz was a wonderful driver. We always felt comfortable - even if the other drivers, scooter and mopeds were going crazy!

My family only had 6 days to tour Morocco and knew that there was much more that we wanted to see and experience than time would allow. I surveyed reviews on Tripadvisor and contacted about 10 tour companies with great ratings. I settled on Dadani because I felt that Karyn really took the trouble to understand what kind of vacation we were looking for, what we wanted to see and at what pace we wanted to move. We were in no way disappointed.

A few thoughts in summary before getting into the details:
- We loved our guide Ismail. He was knowledgeable, fun, authentic and did everything in his power to make this trip enjoyable and educational for us. He was very open and he really served as a window into the culture.
-We had told Karyn that we really wanted to stay at traditional riads, and Dadani did an outstanding job of setting us up in absolutely gorgeous, intimate riads with great food. Exactly what we wanted (with one exception discussed below).
-Dadani did a great job of constructing a tour that met our needs . I really feel like Karyn listened carefully to what we were looking for and then customized the tour for us.

Day 1 - We were picked up at the airport by Ismail and he helped us straighten out a baggage problem that we had. He then swept us up and we headed for Fes. From all of our reading, Fes was really not high on my list of places to see, but Karyn had strongly recommended it and suggested we spend two nights there. It was a great suggestion. We loved the medina and loved the City Guide (Thammi) that Dadani had arranged for us. This guy was tremendously entertaining to be around and really made the city come alive for us. Only minor complaint was that he arranged a very expensive lunch for us catching us by surprise. Its kind of the way things work in Morocco - we managed to avoid this in other cities. As part of the tour we were also ushered into three Unesco sites - one where carpets were made, one where pottery was made and one tannery. These were interesting and educational stops, but also low pressure souvenir-buying opportunities. Although this wasn't on our list of things to do, we did enjoy these shops (but spent more money than we had intended to). In Fes we stayed at Riad Tafilalet. We were very comfortable here. Beautiful, traditional décor and great food.

On our third day we drove quite a bit to get to Merzouga. One of the things that Karyn and I discussed was the possibility of visiting a traditional Moroccan home. We were treated to this on the way to Merzouga and it was one of the highlights of the trip. We took a camel ride and spend a night in the dunes. We sang and danced with some of the other tourists and our berber hosts. Also climbed one of the high dunes in the moonlight.

Next, for day four was the Toudra Gorge on the way to Ourazate. We really enjoyed the tour and explanation that Ismail provided regarding the old Kasbah and how people lived there. We loved our stay at the Ksar Riad Aylan. the food was exceptional.

Day 5 was over the Atlas mountains to Marraakesh. This was a stunning drive. We live in Colorado and are not easily impressed by mountains, but these were certainly beautiful.

Marrakesh was a bit of a disappointment. First, the Riad where we stayed, Chez l'Africian, was not up to par with the others on the trip. The rooms were smaller and not nearly as nicely appointed, and the managers/owners were inattentive at best. With respect to the city itself, I suspect we were getting tired and a little jaded by the end of the trip, but the sites just didn't seem as impressive as others we had seen, and the city just seemed very touristic and inauthentic. The evening we drove to Rabat and stayed at another outstanding Riad - Riad Sakina. Ismail took us to a great Restaurant where we celebrated New Years Eve.

All and all it was a very memorable trip and have nothing but great things to say about Dadani Destinations.

In my opinion, the geographic diversity of Morocco is only matched by its cultural diversity. And I never would have discovered this had it not been for Discover Morocco.

Upon arriving in Marrakesh I was keen on exploring not only that city but also the rest of the country. Fortunately – for me – the owner/operator of the Riad I was staying at highly recommended Discover Morocco.

My tour took me through the Atlas Mountains, to desert, through Fez and back to Marrakech. In short, it was spectacular.

What distinguishes Discover Morocco, in my opinion, is that Aziz was incredibly accommodating & tailored the tour to my specifications (I was seeking a bit of adventure, but the tour could have easily been tailored for leisure, shopping etc). Further, his commentary into the sights and eagerness to discuss, offered a texture to this experience I’m sure I would not have found with another tour,

Lastly, the places we went themselves were great – chosen incredibly well by Aziz.

While I may not be able to travel to Morocco again in the near term, I’ll be sure to travel with Discover Morocco on my next adventure!

My 6 days trip at Morroco was a dream. From the time I was picked up from Casablanca airport by my driver and tour guide Aziz to the time I was dropped off at the end of the trip I felt safe and well taking care of by Aziz. He went above and beyond to make sure I’m comfortable. Anything I asked for he made it happened! Not only Aziz is an excellent driver but also knowledgeable on the history of his country. We explored Casablanca, Marrakech, Ouarzazat, Merzouga and Dades Gorge, Todra gorge and Atlas mountain and many more in 6 days in a very well organized way. I had a fabulous time at each destination. My favourite one was visiting the desert, riding the camel, sleeping under the stars and riding the Jeep into the sand dunes, fly up and down it was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back again and definitely have Aziz organizing my trip!

We travel extensively but this was our first trip to Morocco. We contracted a vehicle and driver through Dadani Destinations and had a wonderful trip. Our driver, Ismail (Pedro), was excellent--great driver, full command of many languages, very knowledgeable and always kind and helpful. Simply a great guy always with a smile and great music to listen to on the long drives. I would not hesitate to recommend Dadani Destinations. One could not ask for more.

My wife and I travel twice a year to different parts of the world. Far East, China, Turkey, India to name a few. This year we decided to do Morocco.
Googled and found dadanidestinations out of Canada with an office in Morocco. Private tour of 15 days, 4 wheel drive air conditioned SUV, English speaking guide/driver. Breakfast and dinners and high end Riads/hotels.
We had a time of our life.
We covered the great metropolis to cities that always had the newer and older sections, the markets. The desert and the ocean, snow capped mountains and the plains.
We had a fantastic time.
Very accommodating guide.
Will I do this again. Definitely YES.

My husband and I along with our good friends just returned from a 15-day Desert and Coastal Morocco tour with Discover Morocco. From start to finish our tour was smooth, comfortable, and unhurried. What an incredible adventure! Morocco, with its geographic diversity and exotic culture is just spectacular.

While I was planning our trip to Morocco, I contacted many tour companies and I am so happy I stumbled upon Discover Morocco. What distinguished this tour company for me was the fact that they have an office in Vancouver, Canada. I worked with Karyn there and she was just outstanding n every way. She worked diligently and promptly with me to customize our tour and addressed all our concerns and questions. Even while we were actually in Morocco, she was only an email away and resolved the one issue that came up with our Riad in Fes immediately.

Our tour took us to all the major cities, through the awesome Atlas Mountains, the amazing desert in Merzouga, the incredibly beautiful gorges and valleys, and the quaint port of Essouira. We traveled in comfort and style in our 7-seater Mercedes with an excellent driver, Abdelrahim. He spoke English very well, was knowledgeable, always very polite and accommodating and pretty much at our beck and call. We always felt safe with him.

The most thrilling adventure for me was the camel ride over endless sand dunes into desert, our overnight at a Berber Camp under the most fabulous night sky filled with stars and the Milky Way!

For 13 days my husband and I were taken on a private tour around Morocco with Dadani Destinations. We experienced an adventure more exceptional than we had ever anticipated.

Dadani Destinations specializes in small, private tours. I first worked with Karyn to plan our trip which would include our special interests and requests. Aziz followed through with the plan as our outstanding driver, guide, translator, and constant assistant. From the time we walked through the door in Casablanca to our check-in for our return to Chicago, DD had everything arranged as planned. The trip plan was carried out to perfection; the timing was excellent. We began at 9 to 10am everyday, toured for about 6 hours; this allowed several hours of personal time before dinner at the Riad or Resort. Midway in our tour there was a much welcomed "quiet day" after the overnight camel trek.

Morocco is a country of vistas, panoramas, extremely diverse landscapes, exotic cities, picturesque villages beyond anything we had imagined. Aziz's energy and enthusiasm for his country was endless. He worked tirelessly to have us see as much as possible and that our travel was easy and effortless. Aziz never failed to be a safe and capable driver. We were always informed of the next day's plans so that we could plan accordingly. The accommodations and meals arranged for us were top notch throughout.

HOWEVER, IT WAS THE FREEDOM AND FLEXIBILITY that made the trip without comparison. We went behind ancient walls of a Kasbah, had lunch with a family, were able to stop on request to get those once-in-a-lifetime photos. We could go back into local stops for barbeque lunches. We had private guides in Casablanca, Fez, and Marrakech; Priceless! DD arranged for a birthday party for my husband complete with musicians, belly dancer and birthday cake. We spent an afternoon shopping with the Riad's chef at the local market then had a private cooking class assisting in preparing the evening dinner with chicken, preserved lemon and olives tagine.

My husband and I are older and a trip so fully packed each and every day with scenery, events, and sights could have become overwhelming, tiring and tedious. However, we left exhilirated and totally in awe of all that we had experienced. Having traveled the world and having arranged several private tours in different locations, this one is a must do!

NOTES:
-My research indicated that the cost of this private tour was totally in line with a group tour.
-Tipping is constant. It was often dirricult keeping enough small change in hand.
-Maintaiining a drinking water supply is important.
-The camel trek is an experience not to be missed. It can be rigorous for us older adults but it was not as difficult as expected. One family had two small children along. Take a flashlight.
-There were big termperature swings those first 2 weeks in May, from hi 60F to 100F.
-We felt absolutely no safety concerns. We felt completely safe and at ease with Aziz's oversight.
