Mohamed has looked after my friend and I for a week travelling around his beautiful country. His company and kindness made the trip exceptionally special.
Our flight was severely delayed, but a quick message to Mohamed and he reassured us not to worry and he would wait for our arrival and be there whatever time we arrived. Just as promised, he greeted us with fresh cold water and a smile. As it was late, Mohamed also phoned ahead to our Riad to ensure we would still be able to have dinner.
We explored Fes, the Sahara Desert, the Atlas Mountains and Marrakesh. In Fes and the Atlas Mountains, Mohamed organised local guides to help us explore. Before making any plans, he always asked us what we wanted to do so that the trip was tailored to our needs. The most special time was in the desert, where Mohammed was born, so he was the guide and able to share the beauty of his village and where his family very kindly offered us hospitality in their home where we enjoyed a delicious lunch.
Throughout the whole trip, Mohamed ensured we were looked after. He was always on time ready to collect us with a bottomless supply of water and wifi always available in the car. He speaks very good English and we had some great chats about the differences in cultures and he was always happy to answer questions.
Mohamed made the trip special and should I be lucky enough to return to Morocco, he will be the first to know.
