I've already visited the souks in the medina but I don't like to hassle so I went here. Yes it's much calmer and nobody's bothering you. Prices are fixed but I'm pretty sure you can find for less in the medina. I did enjoy the...More

A few minutes walk from the square. A local shop owner told us to not to buy in the souks but go there as that is where the souk shops get their better goods from. Generally good quality, some exceptional. Although prices are fixed, you...More

A safe haven if you don't like bartering, Has plenty of shops to look around and you don't get hassled, all shops have fixed prices although some don't display as well as they should. I picked up a few things here at a very reasonable...More

If you don't like to bargain this is good place for shopping. Allthough all of the shops does not have prices written but they are solid. So no bargaining. Nice little Cafe inside.

I really don't like the bargaining so I appreciated the fixed prices and actually managed to buy a few things. Clearly not the biggest selection.

I wanted to like it because I’m terrible at haggling, and was getting exhausted in the souls. And yes, it is low pressure. But it also doesn’t have great quality goods. Not much selection. It’s a good place to go on your first day or...More

Currently (July 2018) most of this is being dug up and presumably redeveloped. The few shops that remain are a mix, with many offering fixed prices several times higher than the opening offers in the souks. Three years ago I found this a haven of...More

This is a good first stop to see what the prices are like. You can then choose to haggle in the souks knowing roughly what it's worth. I hate haggling and find the prices here very reasonable, even at fixed prices and they will often...More

Lamps and Lanterns Store in Ensemble Artisnal in Marrakech (1 Replies)
I'm hoping someone would be able to help me find out the name and contact details of the Lamps and Lighting store in the Ensemble Artisanal in Marrakech. I believe there was only one store in that center that exclusively sold lamps, lanterns and other light fixtures. It was across the cafe. I regret not purchasing this beautiful lamp that I saw there while I was visiting Marrakech and I'm hoping to contact them about it. Thank you all!

A brief trip report (14 Replies)
Hi all, Hopefully this is the right place to post. Couldn't see where else it would go - apologies if it should be elsewhere! So I got married on June 3rd, and we flew to Marrakech for 4 nights on Monday June 8th as our honeymoon. I LOVE researching everything I can about a new place before I visit. We're not ones for sitting around a pool all day - we much prefer soaking up the local culture and getting stuck in so I made sure to look up what to expect. Nothing I read bothered me at...More
