My wife and I recently spent 2 weeks traveling in Morocco. We started in Marrakech and after 4 days there we were picked up by Rachid, our driver through Morocco Explored. This is when one of the most memorable journeys of our life began. Rachid is a wonder of knowledge about Moroccan culture, Berbere history, Islam to name just a few things.
We started by driving into the High Atlas Mountains with awe inspiring views with an infinite number of vantage points for beautiful photos. And Rachid knows all of the best spots and makes sure he photographs you in all of these locations, all the while telling you about the history and culture of the people who live where you stop. The accommodations during the first two nights were first rate with the cuisine in Dar Jnan Tiouira, provided by a family who has a history of chefs in the family, being absolutely superb.
Rachid was at the door waiting for us each morning. You never touch a bag and he has cultivated relationships all along the way so that when he stops for lunch he makes sure the food is delicious, the price is fair and tells you exactly what to expect and how to tip appropriately (even the bathroom attendants).
Next stop is the Sahara. We climbed aboard our camels and made our way into the dessert to view sunset from the dunes. You can’t appreciate the color of the dessert next to the blue sky from pictures. It is breathtaking. The dessert is vast and the tents, all hung with beautiful textiles and decorated with pillows, are not like any tents I’ve ever seen. Our personal tent was more like a spacious, exotic, beautiful hotel room with a bathroom and shower than a camping tent.
We hadn’t planned transportation for the last week of our trip including getting from Fes to Chefchaouen and then to Casablanca. In retrospect we would have been sunk without Rachid. He thankfully was able to stay with us, extending his obligation by 5 extra nights. Once again he made he made the trip so much fun and so easy, lining up a guide and providing transportation around Fes and making riad reservations for us in Chefchaouen, that we may never be able to travel without some version of Rachid again, although it would be hard for anyone to measure up to him. He is amazing. Request him when you book with Morocco Explored. You will not regret it for one second. What a lovely, positive, funny person to spend hours of comfortable scenic driving with.

My friend Jordan and I booked a 3 night/4 day trip from Fes to Marrakech via the desert and several towns and sites through the Atlas Mountains. Booking with the owner, Essalah, was really easy - he was super easy to communicate with. We were assigned Rachid as our driver/guide and spent the full four days with him. Rachid was awesome. He had tons of energy and shared lots about his experiences growing up in the Atlas Mountains and he wanted to learn about our lives too. We learned a lot about the Amazigh (Berber) way of life from him and he even took us to visit some of his friends who are nomadic and were living in a remote part of the mountains. We shared music throughout the drive and he introduced us to some amazing Moroccan music. Rachid has a great sense of humour and was a really welcoming, warm person. Our trip with him was definitely a highlight of our time in Morocco!

We (Group of Four) planned 2 weeks of vacation to Morocco and used "MoroccoExplored" for part of the tour. Rashid met us at Casablanca Airport and right away we liked him.
As a Guide, Rashid explained history in details, took us to some of the places which we may not be able to visit, helped with luggage, picking up vegetarian Restaurant and so many other things.
Specially, we liked when Rashid told us "Noting is impossible, just ask for it".
MoroccoExplored should be proud of Guide like Rashid.
We wish him all the best and highly recommend his services.

We booked a 5 day tour with Morocco Explored over the internet for a trip to Morocco. Salah helped us work out the details of our itinerary via email. This company is fine with a custom itinerary and has *lots* of local knowledge. We had a memorable tour seeing Fez, the Atlas Mountains, the high Sahara and Marrakech along with many interesting stops at points of interest. Rachid was our driver and met us at the airport. Rachid was simply wonderful and took good care of us.. Things went smoothly through the trip thanks to him, he was always there waiting to get us from our various stops right on time. The lodging was not chain hotels, rather smaller inns. These were all beautiful and a pleasure to visit. Other posts have discussed the security situation in Morocco. We had no security issues and never felt uncomfortable. Moroccans of all walks of life seem to be tolerant of tourists and were generally friendly and helpful. During our trip we toured ancient cities, went hiking in beautiful places, learned about Morocco, rode camels into the desert, ate wonderful Moroccan food, saw snake charmers, rode a rickshaw, climbed up into a Kasbah, met a nomadic family, toured interesting cultural sites and much more. It was really a memorable trip. I highly recommend visiting Morocco in general and using this tour company to book if you can. We thought the price was good value for the private car with well informed driver to take care of us as well as the quality of the accommodation.

We booked this trip because my aunt used Morocco Explored few years ago and I am so happy we did it. We were very concerned about this trip since one of my 3 kids has a severe food allergy. Both the office and our driver Youssuf have been amazing: the office by calling ahead every places we stayed to warn them about this issue and Youssuf by personally going to talk to every places we ate to make sure it was ok, Youssuf was awesome in helping us in finding the right place to see and to eat. He delivered a truly outstanding service. I literally have no critics whatsoever toward this organization and I am sure I will recommend them.

Organised a 3 day 2 night trip from Marrakech to Fes via the Atlas Mountains and Sahara - we had seen from previous reviews Rachid had come highly recommended, whilst we didn’t request him specifically, we were lucky enough to be assigned to him and he was fantastic.

Energetic, hugely friendly and passionate about sharing the culture and sights of Morocco - he was the perfect guide to take us around, went out of his way to make us feel safe and share sights, insights and places that we would be interested in seeing.

The company itself was flexible and offered a large number of options to customise our trip and make sure we got to see what we wanted to without ever being pushy about anything. The planning on our part was quite last minute but was made incredibly easy by the team.

Would recommend the company wholeheartedly and Rachid in particular - planning to do a return trip and would definitely ask Rachid to take us around again.

We just came back from the trip from Morocco, where we used Morocco Explored to organize our trip from Marrakesh to Fez and back. The agency made it very easy for us to plan the trip and took all of our requests into consideration. What is even more important we had an amazing guide/driver Rachid, who was incredible company and experienced and sophisticated guide. We learned so much from him about Morocco and had many interesting conversation about its culture, regions, and people. Rachid was very sensitive and creative guiding us around historic sights, mountains, towns and markets. We would recommend him and Morocco Explored with confidence and pleasure. Thank you Rachid!

Had a brilliant trip for New Year 2020 with Morocco Explored in a group of 5. Yousef was a great driver and guide. The trip is designed around your schedule and your pace, so it is helpful to be clear about what you are looking for in each day including expectations around food time and bathroom stops. We had long days in the car, up to 8 hours, and Yousef was very helpful with the music selection. In each city we were handed off to a different guide that had an intimate knowledge of the area. From Marrakech we went through a number of Berber villages and down to Ouarzazate, through the Tinghir gorge and to the edge of the desert in Merzouga. The Azawad Riad involved an hour and a half camel ride out to a thoroughly glamped-out desert encampment. It was extremely cold at night, but the stars over the dunes were beautiful. We then stayed at the absolutely amazing Riad El Yacout in Fez and spent the day touring the old town/Medina with Thammi, aka the candy man. He provided an interesting look into his time in the city. We then spent our last day for a relaxed walkabout in Chefchaouen photographing the blue city. We flew out of Tangier with significantly more rugs and ceramics than intended, but excited to have some souvenirs of this wonderful trip.

Our group of 7 people used Morocco Explored to do a 4 day/3 night journey from Marrakech to Fez and it was excellent.
We arranged the entire trip via their website and email. The owner of the company - Salah, was very patient with us as we made a few adjustments to the itinerary.
When the day came to start the journey, the 2 guide/drivers (Rachid and Mohammed) arrived at our Riad in Marrakech a few minutes early and everything was simple and easy from that point all the way to when they dropped us at our Riad in Fes.
The vehicles were very comfortable, the accommodations that Morocco Explored booked for us were very nice, both Rachid and Mohammed spoke very good english and the pace of the journey was very relaxed.
I would recommend doing the 4 day trip instead the more typical 3 day trip.
By having the extra day and having vehicles with 4 wheel drive, Rachid and Mohammed were able to take us to all the highlights of the journey, but also to very unique places and experiences as well.
We had time for a 1 hr mountain bike ride through parts of the Skoura Oasis. We had lunch prepared by a family from a small village in the Atlas Mountains sitting in their fields on the side of a small river. We visited nomads in the mountains and had tea in their cave/home.
Very importantly, Rachid and Mohammed know where all the best bathrooms are along the route.
Our trip to Morocco was totally amazing and the time we spent with Morocco Explored (Rachid & Mohammed) was above and beyond our expectations.

My husband and I had an amazing, full and very memorable day this week spent with Rachid of Morocco Explored Tours. From the moment we met him at our Riad in Marrakech, we could tell that he was the perfect guide for us as he had such a positive energy, excitement and passion for his job. With only one day to spend outside of the city, we wanted to learn as much as possible about the incredible culture of Morocco and he really delivered!

We appreciated Rachid's flexibility with the schedule, his extensive knowledge and willingness to engage in meaningful conversation and how very safe he was in what can be crazy driving conditions. Understandably so, some guides we have have encountered over the years seem burned out, kind of sick of dealing with tourists and don't seem to enjoy the role. Not so with Rachid! He genuinely loves what he is doing and it shows!

In addition, we found this day trip to be very reasonably priced and quite a bit less than the excursion that the Riad would have booked for us.

We are already planning our next visit (this time we hope to bring our kids with us) and would love to spend more time exploring with Rachid through Morroco Explored Tours. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would not hesitate to recommend him and this company for your next adventure in Morroco!
