My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely time with the ever so talented craftsmen who taught us the traditional methods of making little pieces of mosaic and creating unique designs over the 3 hour course. The session was facilitated by a pleasant young lady who works there part time to fund her university studies. The company works well to provide... More

I arranged a solo pottery lesson with Ateliers d'Ailleurs and it was all very easy and straightforward. The deposit was sent via paypal and I paid the rest at the lesson in cash. I met with my escort and translator in the medina and then was driven about 15 minutes to the Village de Potiers. The lesson was great. My... More

I selected Ateliers d'Ailleurs after looking at all cooking classes in the Top 10. Why? The lesson is given by a native Moroccan, a translator is provided, you cook the entire meal from start to finish, recipes are disclosed, and your participation and money benefit the local community and empowers women/artisans. Other classes only allow you to cook parts of... More

We spent two days cooking with a local lady, including one trip to the market to buy food for our session. The lady was so helpful and her instructions were simple and clear. And of course we got to taste the results! I also did the leather work and the gentleman offered to let me do all the work, but... More

It was a great experience learning to cook couscous the Moroccan way and learning to make Moroccan pancakes and mint tea in a local home. Cooking couscous the Moroccan way is so different from how I have done it. We even got picked up from our accommodation and at the end of our class enjoyed a beautiful meal together. It... More

My wife and I did a 5 hour class and made a lamb tangine. The chef was great and taught us so much. We've made several of the dishes at home since coming back.

My wife and I did a 5 hour class and made a lamb tagine. First off, our translator/guide Sumiya (sorry spelling might not be right) was so great!! Her English was the best we heard while in Morocco! She made it possible for us to ask questions and exchange information about our two cultures! The cooking was wonderful! We did... More

Our customised cooking class with Ateliers was the best cooking course we've ever taken, and my husband and I have taken half a dozen. The instruction was hands on (you're literally doing all the prep and cooking yourselves), the ingredients were fresh and high quality, the environment authentic and the service top notch. For example, I emailed Ateliers about the... More

My Mum and I were lucky enough to take part in a cooking class organised by Ateliers d'ailleurs in January 2015. We requested to learn a special dish called pastilla and we were thrilled when they agreed to show us. We've used the recipe a number of times since arriving home. Our teacher and translator were delightful. We would thoroughly... More

My friend and I did the five course couscous class with Laisha as our instructor and Abdul as our guide/interpreter. We made chicken with seven vegetables, couscous, harira soup, Moroccan pancakes, cookies and learned the art of traditional mint tea. The lessons are done in the home of a local family and getting to see how real people live in... More
