We booked the 3 day Sahara Desert tour with Mahi which was very enjoyable! I had done this trip before (through another provider) but this was my brothers first time in Morocco and he loved it. Mahi was in touch with us to make sure all was going well which was a nice touch. Just a few tips for your trip (or any multi-day trip you do through Morocco): *You will be put in with many other travellers that have booked through various agencies and some have been told different things. The guide on Mahi’s website is approximately correct but we did not visit the cinema studios on day 3 (our driver said that this was never an option) The timings will also be a little off/behind schedule so don’t expect to be back in Marrakech at 7pm or even 8pm *The drivers will take you to restaurants of their choosing and often these are average quality and expensive by Moroccan standards. Because I had been through this area before and I knew the process I had asked our driver if my brother and I could go to another restaurant and be back at the van at a certain time. He was initially disagreeable but then told us this is fine as long as we were back at the agreed time *Always keep cash with you and also take toilet paper as the stops along the way will often charge you a few dirham to use the bathrooms and sometimes/often will not have toilet paper *Keep a supply of water with you at all times and also take rehydration medication with you as it is common to have an upset stomach during your trip due to ingesting tap-water (also see above re. TP - very apt for when you have an upset stomach!) *Make sure you keep an open mind, are respectful and get to know the other travellers and locals! It is a wonderful experience but sometimes very different to what we are used to.... have fun!!! :)
