Enjoyable evening with a camel ride, sunset views, music dance and meal. The food was plentiful and good. I thought the camels were taken good care of. I twisted my ankle and Nassim was excellent all round, checking on me by WhatsApp a couple of days later. I would recommend this excursion.

We are lucky to have Omar as our guide, a handsome, kind, humorous gentleman. He is so charming with beautiful eyes and curved eyelash. And the arrange of the 3days 2nights journey is perfect with good accommodations and delicious meals. We have enjoyed amazing scenery, and Omar told us everything we wondered. In the desert, we danced and learned how to play local drums and other instruments. These all will be unforgettable. I highly recommend this company. If you are lucky to have Omar as your guide, I think it will be a nice experience.

We did the 2 day Mt. Toubkal summit. Omar was an incredible guide. He did everything humanly possible to make our two day trek a fantastic experience. The hike to the summit can be quite challenging, particularly if you have done no training. However if you are reasonably fit, it is quite achievable. However - it is very important that you use an experienced guide. It is not safe to do it on your own. The view at the top is well worth the difficult walk up. The walk back down was very painful on my knees, but Omar helped me every step of the way. Food is great. Accomodation at base camp is great. Make sure you get out of Marrakech and see some truely amazing parts of Morocco - book a tour with Omar.

We completed the 2 night toubkal circuit trek with Omar which was the highlight of our three week trip to Morocco. Omar was a fantastic guide, very friendly and able to answer any question thrown at him! Would definitely recommend!

This whole mountain trip was sort of a spur of the moment thing (hashed out with some spontaneous haggling and bartering in a little storefront just off of the grand square Jmaa el'fnaa), along with a friend of mine. So, we picked a tour for 3 days/2 nights, and Omar was our guide. We had such a great time, and while we did a lot of hiking, we did a whole lot more socializing and chatting, and just hanging out, so don't see hiking up and around Toubkal as too intimidating; you can take it at a relatively casual pace if you wish!

Our guide Omar went above and beyond, and even had us over for lunch and tea. We even were able to observe the Eid traditions (Eid Mubarak!) alongside the locals. Morocco is filled with many hospitable and genuinely generous people, and I highly recommend visiting the High Atlas, with Omar as your guide!

We took a day trip into the High Atlas Mountains with Omar. What an amazing trip it was. The walk took us through beautiful countryside with great views of Toubkal, past waterfalls and through many Berber villages. The local people were welcoming and inviting us in and the children couldn't wait to say hello. Lunch in the café was beautiful and the camel ride on the way back to Marrakech was a lot of fun. Omar has a very gentle way and is full of information and knowledge about the area and his heritage. Thanks for a great day!

Omar was helpful and provided lots of local insight on our day tour of the Atlas mountains. Pick-up was on-time and he also recommended a great restaurant.

A really wonderful experience in Morocco! The trip to Merzouga for the camel trek in the desert was smooth with sufficient stops for breaks and scenic view points along the way. The quick night in the desert was amazing with time for star gazing laying on the sand dunes, and entertainment (Berber music/singing/dancing) by the Berber desert guides. We had Omar as our guide for the 3-day trip. He was friendly, fun and informative. He also made us feel comfortable from the start and occasionally asked us how we were doing during the trip. Omar was able to answer all our questions we had about the Moroccan culture and the different sights we saw along the trip. We had a separate driver that allowed Omar to be attentive to our questions. I would love to return to Morocco to hike the Atlas Mountains and would definitely book with Omar and Astara Tours!

WOW! What an amazing day trip from Marrakech to the Atlas mountains. I was picked up at my riad and driven to the base mountain near Imlil were our group met Omar our guide. We stopped for mint tea and local cakes, yum! Then Omar made sure we were all good to go and had enough water, he also asked if we wished to have a ride on a mule (not a donkey!) which is part of the traditional Berber lifestyle…we realised why this is a good reason after our climb began! I tried the mule just to experience what the locals do. Omar was fantastic, his knowledge on the Berber communities and history of Morocco was great. He made us all feel safe, went at an easy pace to accommodate everyone in the group and had a great sense of humour. We stopped regularly to take amazing photos, and then stopped for lunch at Ahmed’s house. The views across the valley from Ahmed’s house were stunning, as was lunch, the welcome and the refreshments! After lunch we got driven to the local camel riding place, which was a laugh and then driven back to Marrakech. Some of the things I enjoyed about the day trip; the views, interesting history, the local ways in how they help each other (this doesn’t happen in London!), lunch and meeting new friends. Omar was the highlight of that day excursion and I highly recommend him as your guide, he has a passion for people and his country. Fantastic memories, shukraan (thanks)!

What a privilege to explore the High Atlas Mountains! Astara Tours created an unforgettable journey to summits, through tiny mountain villages built of stones, through river valleys where trees were heavy with fruit and into a wilderness of stunning beauty. Unforgettable?, yes. Unexpectedly wonderful? yes. Challenging and inspiring? yes! Thank you Omar and Astara Tours for sharing the cultural and natural beauty of your ancient and gentle Morocco! So very hard to say goodbye.
