The tour was fabulous from start to finish. Our tour guide Kirrsh was amazing - very sociable, knowledgeable and friendly. Accommodation at each stop was fabulous, particularly in our first location. The meals provided, while similar at each place, were good quality. It was a lot of travel, but a shorter trip than this one would have been way too rushed so we are glad we opted for the longer tour. Would highly recommend this tour.

Driver was a bit fast but we talked to him and it was ok. 5/5

The bus was very good. 5/5

You have to switch busses because there are a lot of people going to different campa with different agencies. They calculate so that they get everybody from the right grup in the right bus. It’s poorly organised at this part. 4/5

They will stop the bus at specific restaurants where they tell you everything is ready for the grup and they try to convince you to eat there with different reasons. Firmly say no and go outside look for a dofferent one, there is only just one case where that is the only restaurant but the food is ok and it costs 100MAD, in rest you will find other restaurants with way better pricing. 4/5

At Ben Ait Haddou they will tell you to buy the scarf for 60 cause you don’t stop till Sahara and in Sahara it’s 200. Lies, you will stop 10 times till Sahara. He will tell you that the bus is in a different location and you have to take the guides tour to find it. My gf was feeling bad so i firmly said NO! Then he told ua where the bus is (100m down the mainroad) and we ate at a restaurant at our choise waiting for everybody. 3/5

The berber house where we first staied was nice, big clean rooms. (Berber house, not Hilton). 5/5

The guides at the old berber and jew city will unpolitely ask for tips....you can give them 10MAD. 3/5

The desert camp has a pretty nice bathroom (for a desert camp), kind of very very hot in the tent. No showers, no wi-fi :)). 5/5

The drive back is 10-11hours, 3-4 stops.

Take food to go, buy snaks, buy water, buy wet wipes, be prepared!

The landacapes and the views are 8/5.

I tried to talk only about the organisation it’s self.

Don’t forget you pay for a berber experience, a desert camp, not for Four seasons Hotel.

You should deffenetly do it.

Prison would be a better place - nearly ruined our whole holiday in a country we loved!

What we were promised vs what we got:

Driver and guide - he spoke no English and showed us nothing
Transport via airconditioned minivan - was hotter than the surface of the sun!
Camel Trek - camels looked beaten and sick
overnight in tents - these were disgusting with no bedding and blood on the bedside table
Dinner and breakfast were truly disgusting

We were picked up and drove over the Atlas Mountains, where our driver tried to kill us by overtaking trucks on blind bends.

We drove for 5 hours before we arrived at the Kasbah, our driver told us that the guide would show us around. It says guide in the itinerary, but afterwards they tried to charge us extra. We paid, but others didn't.

We drove another 6 hours with stops every hour while the driver tried to ensure we bought things.

Eventually we arrived at the camel riding, where the camels looked beaten... we saw them being whipped and kicked. We missed sunset as the driver kept stopping!

The campsite was vile and we were informed that we had to share a tent with 2 other couples... we had never met before. There were no sheets on the beds, just dirty rugs and there was blood on the bedside table. We cried!

Dinner was inedible and breakfast even worse.

We told the driver not to stop on the way back, but he frequently did and he also disappeared for over 30 mins at one toilet stop... which happened to be a shop also.

I have never been more relieved, than when this ended! This is one of a number of places offering the same tours and PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED... it is a scam!

I generally don't like to book through tour guides but there are some cases where it is just more reasonable and to begin with this is one of them. To put things in perspective, if you were to drive from Marrakesh to Merzouga on your own it would be an 8 hour drive, so not having to worry about that is amazing and easily justified this group tour for me. The driver we had and the guides at the different areas we visited were amazing and engaging. Your driver will stop on average every 3 hours so you can take a break/get something to eat/drink (and I do recommend keeping plenty of water on you). The major stops you make are Ait Benhaddou, a Berber village, and the Sahara itself. The first night you will stay in a good hotel which is covered in the package, and the second night you will stay in a camp in the desert. The first night's dinner, second day's breakfast and dinner, and final day's breakfast are all included.

Anyways, great company to do this through and I will recommend it to any of my friends that take a trip down to Marrakesh.

We used Time out to visit the waterfalls, the trip itself was ok- the mini bus was hot and no air conditioning but we survived. Arr bed back in Marrakesh tired and ready to get back to the hotel. Only to be unceremoniously dumped outside the medina and left. Our hotel (Labranda Aqua Fun) was some 15 km from the medina and we had paid for transport to and from the trip.

Eventually we got them to send a driver and we got home.

My son and I had a second trip booked to the desert with them. Wary of the first the Nazha from the agency promised it wouldn't happen again.

Guess what? After two days tired, dirty and ready for bed we were abandoned by the driver (who spoke no English despite being told we would have an English speaking chaperone) as he said he was finished for the day (translated for us by another tourist).

Went to a cafe and contacted the agency. An hour later the same driver who left is came for us. Got home and wrote to the agency of my dissatisfaction; only to be accused by the agency of ruining my own lift by wanting to go into the medina and refusing a lift home! All we wanted to do was get back to our hotel. I had very heavy bags and we were exhausted. My young son and I were pretty scared to be in the medina at night and i only hope of you want a magical adventure you book with someone else. Time Out is cheap for a good reason. They are an embarrassment to the tourism industry.

Terrible travel to Ouzoud. Poor air-conditioning bus (only on the central cealing), broken seats. It was really, really oppresiff. On the other hand, booking on the Time Out web is more expensive. We paid more than other passenger. please, avoid it.

Worst service and agency EVER !! I booked a one day trip to Essaouira with this agency 14 days ago, they confirmed with me the availability, I gave them all the information needed and confirmed the pick up location. I contacted them 2 days and 1 day before the trip to re-confim and they confirmed I also asked about another contact number I can call in case they don’t show up and never got the number, I was totally right because they never showed up !!! How unprofessional and disrespectful is this ?? no one showing up, no one answering my calls nor my messages ?? Worst thing is that they were online, read the messages I sent right in the moment in WhatsApp and didn’t have enough respect to say anything. I just don’t understand why would you confirm and re-confirm an activity and just never show up nor give an explanation?? Really shame on you !! I was planning for this trip for so long and being treated this way was definitely the worst service ever. So if you want to save your time and holidays plans never book anything with the agency!!

We are a group of 6 ladies who wanted to experience the best of Marrakech and this tour did not disappoint. Our camel ride and our spontaneous decision to proceed with ATV was easily arranged. Our driver Youssef is such an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable. He made sure we are comfortable all the time! Very friendly and highly recommended to everyone! 😊

It is a fantastic experience, and don't let the comments below put you off, as I would not take a private tour out to the Desert as the company in the bus made all the difference. The scenery of the Atlas Mountains, the night skies, the cool desert sand in March and seeing life from a different continent, experiences you can not have if you don't go.
Now to those elements that could have been improved. First driver was dangerous overtaking on bends over the Atlas Mountains, could not enjoy the trip. We were moved buses, not at our request, and with little explanation, drivers English was very poor. The second bus driver was considerate, but unfortunately the air conditioning did not work on his bus and was very hot, but once we had changed seats next to window, that was reasonable. The first stay in the Mountains was fabulous with a really good host, rooms could have expected more, but they were clean. Camel ride needed better saddles and that would have been perfect. However we did nearly get left behind at the camp, due to a runaway camel, the guides at the camp are young and again very poor English. The less said about the toilet at the camp the better. The guides covering the Ksar Ait Ben Hadou and the Todra Gorge both had good English and were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The lunch in the middle of all the days were more expensive than 10 euros and not worth it, and you can get a bit fed up of Tagine. Would not take children!
