I was the last guest out of Morocco on March 20th, and I have to say during all of the turmoil going on about whether there were flights or not, I never felt nervous! Abdou and Sharon were in easy contact, giving good advice and updates. I had not finished my solo tour, and was having such a good time, I didn't want to leave. But when Morocco locked down the interior, I had no choice. I will definitely go back and finish my tour when travel is available. My guide/driver was excellent, showing me parts of Morocco I think few tourists get to see. Sharon was very patient with me and an outstanding job of helping me plan the trip. And since I ended up the only one, it could have been canceled. It is a mark of the integrity of this company that they didn't and I am so glad. I heartily recommend this family run company if you plan to go to Morocco!, you will not be disappointed!

Morocco Immersion is terrific. It was easy to arrange things since Sharon shares time between US and Morocco. Our guide Amnay is part of the family and we met others on our journey. I think we covered a majority of the different terrain. The hotels were fantastic. When the coronavirus impinged on our plans, Morocco Immersion changed our route immediately and got us to the airport on time. We even got in a bit of sight seeing en route.

My husband & I have traveled quite a bit over the years, almost always planning trips ourselves & traveling on our own. When we started thinking about Morocco, we decided that the learning curve to design a great trip was too steep & decided to look for a travel agency to help us. Through a friend, we learned of Morocco Immersion and got in touch with Sharon, the chief tour planner & organizer. Sharon is a rare treasure: She is very knowledgeable about Morocco (her husband is Moroccan & she has spent a lot of time there ), has great ideas about Moroccan travel *and* is an excellent listener. We had done some research and had many ideas about where to go, how long to stay & what to see. Sharon always heard us out, gave us feedback & advise, and then customized our tour until we were totally happy with the final plan. She is an excellent communicator: quick, responsive & clear. Once we hit the ground in Morocco, the other amazing part of Morocco Immersion became apparent: the seamless coordination between Sharon & the drivers. Our driver, Hicham, was absolutely perfect: First, he is a really nice man; second, he is an excellent, safe driver; third, he speaks great English; and forth, he is very sensitive to the needs of his customers. Since we like to travel on our own, he quickly sensed that we didn't need him all the time; however, through our phones, we could be in touch with him at any time & he was happy to do whatever we asked. He was always on time when we were meeting, always told us to take as much time as we wanted, was happy to add or subtract activities as we wished, always checked up on our accommodations & local guides, kept the van spotlessly clean..In other words, he could not have been better! So, if you're thinking of a trip to Morocco, do yourself a favor & contact Morocco Immersion.

Hello....We were a group of four '60 somethings' who have traveled together previously. On fairly short notice, Sharon was able to arrange a travel schedule that fit our desires. She accommodated each adjustment easily and her suggestions no doubt added to the diversity and depth of our experience. She made the planning process enjoyable. At the airport in Tangier we were met by Hicham, our driver and personal guide for the next 15 days. In very short order we realized that our trip would be greatly enhanced with him as our manager. Along the way he attended to each of our individual needs and interests. His knowledge of Moroccan history and his straightforward presentation and sense of humor kept us focused on learning as much as possible about his people and their culture. All of that, and many hours of safe, error free driving, often in tight quarters.....allowing us to relax and soak in the surroundings. Our accommodations were mostly Riad style and each one had unique features. A favorite spot was on the hillside in Chefchouan overlooking the beautiful 'Blue' town. The vibrant activity in each of the Medinas we visited in several cities was exciting. We will long remember riding Camels and sleeping in the desert tents. A great trip with many wonderful memories! Our first trip to Morocco was awesome thanks to Morocco Immersion Tours! Since it was our first time in Morocco and we were all women, I was a little nervous about booking tours and car services online as I read and watched so many travel blogs and vlogs saying you have to be careful. Meeting Amnay during the New York Times Travel Show was a blessing and definitely put us at ease. Amnay also ended up being our driver and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. He was professional, always on time and patiently waited for three women who took pictures of everything! We spent our first day in Chefchaouen - the Blue City of Morocco. It was so breathtaking and worth every minute of the 5-hour drive up to the mountains. Make sure to bring motion sickness medication since the roads up and down the mountain were very windy. Since it was also my birthday during our day trip to Chefchaouen, Amnay arranged a surprise birthday cake from the restaurant where we had lunch. He didn't have to but he went above and beyond. We also booked a transfer service from Casablanca to Marrakech the next day and even though it was only a transfer, Amnay took us to Hassan II Mosque to stop for an hour and take photos. Amnay also recommended a walking tour of Marrakech when we got there and that was definitely a "local" Marrakech experience esp. trying to cross the busy streets in the Medina! Our last full day was spent in Essaouira - it wasn't originally part of our itinerary but was so glad we added it. The countryside was beautiful and the goats on the Argan trees were a sight to see! We also stopped for wine tasting in the afternoon which was a nice surprise since I didn't know they had wineries in Morocco. What a great experience. If it's your first time in Morocco, I would highly recommend doing a tour so you can really explore the country. I would especially recommend Morocco Immersion Tours since they were not only easy to work with, they were knowledgeable and we really felt at home while in Morocco because of the local hospitality that Amnay showed us. We felt like we were touring with a friend vs. a guide. Thank you!
