Yes, this is a beautiful building. But the price of admission was recently doubled to 20dh. It is only two rooms. If you're visiting on your own, you can be in and out in literally 30 seconds. As far as Medrasas in Morocco go, this...More

Maybe not quite as stunning as the Bouania Medersa and not in use, the Attarin medersa is still very beautiful and very old (14th century). It is not very large but the architecture and carvings, plasterwork and sense of tranquility make it well worth the...More

The medersa is quite beautiful. It has beautiful carved wood doors and tilework. A relaxing respite from the bustle in the bazaar, it's well worth visitng.

The Attarin Medersa is a little haven in the heart of the medina which is hidden away in the maze of streets of the souk, close to the centre of Fez el-Bali. It once housed students for their religious studies. The carved cedar wood doors,...More

This was another beautiful medersa. They are all very special and worth seeing. Although it was rather small, it has been exquisitely restored.

Less famous than the Bouanania medersa but a very beautiful one. The November sunny weather was perfect for pictures. By the way, I m pretty sure that this picture is this entrance of Bouanania Medersa

In the middle of the old Fez EL Bali, this beautiful "school". There are several such schools in Fez, but I really enjoyed this one, as it feels a bit lighter than the others--the calligraphy, tiles (zellige) and colors are amazing. Bring your camera! If...More

May be the most beautiful medersa in all of Fes. It was built in the 14th century and sits next to the Kairaouine mosque. The intricate cedar wood carvings, beautiful tile work, and intricate designs make it incredibly attractive and photogenic. Worth a short visit.
