We had a great experience with Marrakech Camel Trips. We did the private three day tour with the luxury tent. Our driver and guide, Ali, was on time, safe, and willing to stop at any point to take pictures with us. He even helped us try to arrange/confirm travel arrangements as restrictions were being put in place due to the corona virus. The stay in the desert was a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was friendly and entertaining, the dinner was great, and the tents were wonderful!

We had a lovely 5-day desert tour with this company. They fulfilled all their promises laid out in the itinerary for the superior accommodation tour: all the food, hotels, desert tents, staff, and sites visited were excellent. Our driver Rachid was patient, kind, thoughtful, and flexible with our requests for bathroom breaks, walks, and some omissions from the itinerary. Email communications were excellent. The desert camp was wonderful. The scenery on this trip through the Atlas mountains and oasis valleys is stunning; it truly is a highlight of a Morocco trip. Our only suggestion for improvement is lunches, which are not included in the itinerary. These are set tourist-menu affairs for the most part, meaning tourists are taken to restaurants that offer a fixed-price set menu (and that price is high). This is likely the case with all desert tour operators in Morocco. When we traveled on our own in Moroccan cities, we ate where locals ate at a fraction of the price of these set-menu restaurants. To be fair, if you know the lay of the land and request to eat at a certain restaurant, your driver would likely take you there, but that means you have to do your own sleuthing. Apart from this complaint, we highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I were hesitant about the long hours in the car each day initially but after reading the reviews decided to book. HOW THANKFUL we are!! The SUV Ali toured us in the whole time was incredibly comfortable and took the bumpy roads well. He is kind and respectful and truly caring in how he guides and takes care, we felt we more friends than "customers". The desert and camel riding into the sunset, staying in the tents and sunrise dune hiking was most definitely the best part! Although seeing the terrain and villages from Fez to Marrakech, through high desert and mid-Atlas really allowed us to see the country. We would not have truly experienced Morocco by not going on this tour to see more than just cities! Thank you Marrakech Camel Trips! p.s. If you get car sick, bring bands or dramamine...I wore bands the whole time and was fine through the winding mountain roads (Ali is a great & cautious driver!)

We are so happy we decided to do this tour! We were mostly in it for the desert but have to say the drive alone was really nice and we got to see SO much. Our driver/guide Ali was excellent, he stopped often for photo ops etc and was very attentive, knowledgeable, knew everyone etc. We really enjoyed him and felt we were in good hands. If you visit Morocco and only stay in the cities you are seriously missing out! The views are spectacular and it’s interesting to see how people live outside of the main cities. If your instagram is a priority you won’t be disappointed :) We opted for the luxury stay and were happy with everything. The hotel in Dades Valley (Sultan) was really nice- new, clean, good AC, nice view & pool area. The luxury tent is definitely glamping and really nice- you will be more than fine. The shower was probably the best water pressure we had in Morocco and the water was really hot and didn’t run out. They have WiFi and outlets to charge your phones. Large bed with plenty of blankets as it does get chilly at night. Staff is super nice also. The camels are fun, they give you the head scarf & take plenty of pictures for you, and the camp isn’t too far- all the camps are on the edge of the desert basically. It is a lot of ground to cover in 3 days but it is so worth it and basically everything cool and interesting we saw in Morocco was during these 3 days. Book!!

A friend recommended us to try the tour and it was definitely one of the best tours of my life. You are greeted with fantastic staff. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. When we got to the camp it was like paradise. The tent was clean and had plenty of hot water in our private washroom. The food was authentic and delicious. At the end of the night we played music together under the Milky Way. The staff are very kind and humorous. They really know how to give you the best experience in the Sahara desert. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Morocco. Thank you guys! Ichwaa!!
