We discovered Sahara Desert Excursions and Hammou through our friends who travelled with them earlier this year (2022).
Hammou curated a 8-day private tour for my partner and I according to our logistics and interests, where we started in Casablanca, ended in Marrakesh and went via various towns, gorges and the Sahara desert on our way.
Hammou organised the majority of our itinerary, including route, accommodation and food. If this wasn't enough, he also flexed the itinerary based on our interests, palette, his expertise and the weather. Thanks to Hammou's expertise, we were able to ride camels in comfort, avoiding a sandstorm the next day!
Hammou has excellent English (and from what we understand, a number of other languages), is punctual, well presented and made us feel very comfortable while travelling with him. There were no awkward car journeys and he always made sure to cater to our needs where he could.

Our Morocco experience was memorable with Hammou and we would strongly recommend his guidance should you wish to journey through this magical country.
Thanks Hammou!

We booked a bespoke 10 day Morocco tour, starting in Tangier and ending up in Marrakech. The booking process was really easy, we emailed our ideal itinerary (to multiple tour companies) and we got a very quick response from Hammou with everything that we asked for with no need to ask for any alterations.
We were greeted at the airport by our driver, Mohammed and taken to our hotel for the night.
Each day we had a meeting time in the morning with a clear meeting spot and got picked up with a bottle of cold water each, which was very welcomed due to the heat at this time of year.
The main/only downfall of the trip is that Mohammed didn’t know much information about all of the attractions/main focal points that we visited (due to being a driver more so than a tour guide), some of which we would have liked to learn more about if possible. He also didn’t accompany us to all attractions, especially those with entry fees so we couldn’t ask questions whilst viewing these.
We had the most amazing time when we visited the desert, this is where Mohammed grew up as a Nomad so it was great to experience this with him and to get to know a bit more about him on a personal level.
The camel ride through the sand dunes, sandboarding at sunset (even if a little cloudy) and staying in the desert camp was the highlight of the trip (but bare in mind that in the Summer this is very hot as there is no air con and there aren’t any fans provided). We also really enjoyed listening to the Berber music and getting involved too!
All riads that were booked for us by Hammou were wonderful and we were delighted by the quality and cleanliness of them.
Mohammed was so lovely, he let us take our time where we wanted to and all the small touches really made our trip the best that it could be. His English (and multiple other languages) is great and it really put our lack of linguistic ability to shame. He also knew all the great photo spots!
Both Hammou and Mohammed were easily contactable throughout our time in Morocco and we would definitely recommend their services.

We went for our honeymoon in September 2022 and had the most unforgettable experience. (Booking the tour was very straightforward and email correspondence was always timely.) Upon arriving at Marrakech we were picked up at the airport by our driver Youssef who immediately made us feel welcome and took us to our first Riad.
Over the next 8 days (which Sahara Desert Excursions accommodated to our schedule perfectly), we got to see some of the most breathtaking sights of Morocco driving from Marrakech to Casablanca through mountains, valleys, gorges, desert, and bustling cities. The desert excursion came complete with camel ride, glamping at Tiziri camp and watching shooting stars under the Saharan sky. Another memorable highlight was spending the early morning in the beautiful city of Chefchouaen, and seeing numerous well cared for cats in a blue-hued Insta worthy alleyways. Each day of the trip (especially those 2) also came complete with a stunning sunset.
During this week long journey we spent many an hour in Youssef's care as he drove tirelessly through the rolling hills of Morocco's picturesque backdrop. Getting to know Youssef was an absolute pleasure as he was kind, patient and accommodating throughout the whole journey. We couldn't have asked for a better host- Youssef taught us a lot about the country, the culture, and the history associated with the places we visited. He also always making sure we went "shwiya shwiya" so that we could enjoy every moment.
The accommodations and local tours that were booked were top-notch (especially Riad Nesma and the amazingly helpful staff) and the hospitality of the Moroccan people blew us away.
Chokran Youssef, everything is great, everything is perfect when you're part of our team 🥰

A trip we will never forget!
We booked the private tour from marrakech to sahara with our wonderful guide and driver, Mustapha and youssef.
We visited all the landmarks, they recommended places that are not in the itinerary but we had the freedom to choose our stops.
We stayed 1 night in Dades valley, the accommodation was amazing. We were suprised to see that there was a place like that in the middle of nowhere! They served 3 course dinner and it was really good!
We stoped at souks, traditional markets and a berber house where they showed us how the women make the carpets.
We trek the sahara with camels for 2 hours going to our desert camp which I was at hesitant at first but im so glad I did it because was the highlight of our trip!
Our camp in sahara was beautiful and It has all the essential stuff you need for camping.
they served bfast & 3 course dinner which was really good. We brought wines and they served it during dinner without any charges.
At night we would gather around the fire and they would sing for us and tell stories about their culture.
We stayed 2 nights in desert which I highly recommend! You need to experience the beauty & quietness of sahara unrushed.
the sunset was breath taking!
We did some other nice stuff but i want to emphasize that the tour went so well because of our guides.
Mustapha and youssef were very professional, caring and funny all at the same time! On the last day of the tour they were supposed to take us to our hotel but they took us to their home, where we met mustapha's families. They prepared a delicious lunch for us and we all ate together!
They didnt have to do this, it was not part of the tour and it we didnt pay for that but they were so kind and thoughtful to do this for us.
This was so memorable and my favorite part of the tour.
Moroccans are hospitable in general but these two made us experience it in a whole different level! We are so grateful for the experiences and we will keep these memories in our hearts forever!
I dont really make reviews but this company deserves it!
Dont think twice! Book the tour!
Thank you so much Mustapha and Yousef! Til we meet again!

We knew that we wanted to see Marrakech, the blue city, and the Sahara. We were concerned about taking round trip day tours from Marrakech and spending our whole vacation in a car. Desert excursions had the solution. They created a very affordable four day trip from Tangiers, through the blue city, Fez, the Sahara, and the Gorges, ending in Marrakech. They booked exquisite rooms every night. The driver, car, gas, hotel, dinner, and breakfast were included. We had a well air conditioned van that easily stored all our luggage and allowed us to lounge and enjoy the ride. Our driver was also our tour guide and became a friend. We cannot speak better about this tour. It was a trip of a lifetime and we will recommend to all of our friends. Please whatsapp them, tell them your timetable, explain what you want to see, and they will give you an amazing itinerary, provide guidance, and answer questions.

My partner and I traveled to Morocco at the beginning of March. We landed to Tanger, spent several days in the city, then visited Chefchaouen and finally Fes. From Fes, our driver, Hammi picked us up and we started our 4 days tour in the south of Marocco. We briefly visited Ifrane - Cedar forest and Ziz Valley to end our first day in Merzouga. Our accommodation was superb! Excellent service and amazing food. On the second day we traveled to Khamliah, visited a Berber camp and Hammi adviced us to have a taste of Berber pizza. So good! In the afternoon we started our tour to the Sahara desert: we mounted on our dromedaries and, after playing with sandboard and admiring the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen, we landed at tiziri camp: a small tent camp in the middle of the desert. During night time, their amazing staff played music and we danced around a fire.
Day 3: packed our backpacks we headed towards todra gorge and dades gorge. We stayed at Dar Blue, an amazing hotel located in front of the river.
Day 4: we visited Ouarzazate and the Atlas studios (45min/1h tour, which I recommend if you like movies) and then headed to the Atlas Mountain. Finally we reached Marrakesh where our tour ended.
It was an amazing experience: this kind of excursions are perfect to submerge you in the Moroccan landscapes and to give you quick information about traditions, lifestyle, history. The service they provided was excellent, I definitely enjoyed all the activities we did. There is so much to see, so much to visit that unfortunately even 4 days are not enough, but surely enough to have fun and enjoy this beautiful country.
Thanks again for the amazing experience you provided!

My partner and I spent 8 days and 7 nights in Morocco with Sahara Desert Excursions.
We had Hammou as our guide, who organised the entire trip itinerary. The hotels and riads that we stayed in were amazing (the list is shared with you beforehand so you can scope them out before you arrive!) and the local tour guides in each of the main cities were knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable in the souks which I know can otherwise be very overwhelming. The favourite part of our trip was the overnight stay in the Sahara Desert, the sunset camel ride and quad bikes.
Hammou was such a pleasure and was always happy to share his experiences and explain the Moroccan culture to us. I can't thank him enough for taking care of us throughout the trip and would definitely recommend booking with Sahara Desert Excursions!

We had an absolutely wonderful time with Sahara Desert Excursions. Everything from pick up to drop off was great! Our driver was named Yassine and he was an absolute pleasure, we felt very safe and happy with him and his tours that he gave us. He was always on time to pick us up in the mornings from our riads, and didn’t leave until he knew we were safe and happy at our riads at night. His hospitality was the best! The package is the best if you have a short amount of time in Morocco, but want to experience the best! The raids we stayed in were very nice, clean, and comfortable and staff were always very kind and curtious. Yassine always provided us with water in the car for the drives as there are sometimes a few hours distance from one city to the next city (but beautiful views on the way). The desert camping at night with camel rides was just the perfect amount time spent. Although we didn’t get to ride a quads in the desert as we had hoped to (because of time constraints) it was really nice! We enjoyed each city especially Chefchouen, that is a MUST, very very picturesque, great for photos, and we had a nice rooftop lunch there as well. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Morocco for the first time that wants to see the best it has in a limited amount of time. Unfortunately I can’t upload any photos because the high quality doesn’t allow me to upload the many mags but picture will just make you want to go even more!

We took a 4-day tour with these guys and had a fantastic time. Our driver, Brahim, picked us up from Marrakesh and drove us first to the Dades Valley, where we stayed in a luxury riad for a night, then down to Merzouga, where we stayed in a luxury desert camp (Ideal Camp) for two nights, and then finally up to Fes where he dropped us off. Brahim was an excellent driver who always had interesting facts about the various sights along the route. He was also very knowledgeable about the right places to stop for breaks and pictures along the way. One of our days in the desert camp was spent with another staff member, Mustapha - he was also an excellent guide, with funny and meaningful insights into the traditional ways of desert life. All of the people we spoke to were very accommodating: the drivers called ahead to restaurants to make sure there were vegetarian options available, and during the booking process the company were very flexible, allowing us to add an extra night in the desert and giving us plenty of options for things to do while we were there. All in all, we very much enjoyed our experience with Sahara Desert Excursions and would recommend them to anybody looking to travel through Morocco.

This is a company and an adventure that’s worth the time to review - it was an experience of a lifetime!
A huge thank you to our lovely, kind and thoughtful driver, Mohammed. You were a gentleman and we enjoyed every moment of our time together.
We recommend more than anything that everyone spends at least two nights in the desert (Merzouga). If you’re a landscape enthusiast, it’s breathtaking… and heartbreaking to leave.
We stayed at Dihya Desert Campsite and although it wasn’t our first choice - we had the most incredible evening thanks to the guys that work there. We laughed by the fire pit until the early hours of the morning, sharing stories, riddles and jokes. It really is the people that make the experience most special and who made us feel regretful for only booking the 3 day tour. Huge thank you to Youssef, Brahim & Said.
Another special thanks to Hammou, your communication on WhatsApp was amazing and my favourite. Thank you for being patient with our accommodation queries and providing clear, detailed information. Your assistance was why we chose you in the first place.
