I took a 14-day private tour of Morocco with Siroco and the trip exceeded the expectations of our group of 5 friends, which were already high. The country is beautiful, incredibly safe and diverse. It goes far beyond imperial cities. We wanted to shoot a good part of it and we did: from the rich Ifrane ski resort to the tents in the Sahara, from the oases in the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to the charming Essaouira on the Atlantic. Without a private tour it would be impractical. The planning with Alexandra and the service from Jamal, our guide, were a difference. Jamal added a special touch with his enthusiasm and professionalism. He's a great driver and speaks Portuguese, which makes a big difference. The van is spacious and has few bumps, too, as the itinerary requires hours on the road. Alexandra interpreted what we wanted and customized it our way, from Casablanca to Marrakesh and with more days in Essaouira. There was a problem with booking a hotel, but she resolved it immediately and it even went better than planned. We didn't all arrive and leave the country together, but she found a way to adjust everything. If I had to change something, I would do it within the 15 days of the original itinerary. We shortened it to 14 and some routes were long. Several hotels will remain in your memory: the Zyo, in Rabat, with its impeccable room and garden, the Dar Echchaouen, with views of the blue medina of Chefchauen and the Riff mountains (my two favorites), the Xaluca, pure luxury on the edge of the Lake Sidi Ali, the modern Atlas in Essaouira, and the Jnane, with its countryside authenticity, in Imlil, the city of trails, a world apart embedded in the Atlas Mountains. “Shukran”, Alexandra and Jamal. Unforgettable. I highly recommend it!
