My friends and I are so grateful to Moroccan Sun, which swooped in on almost zero notice to rescue us when our first driver (someone with a different company) didn't work out. The company quickly found us a driver, one who speaks English very well and who was lovely, patient and relaxed. Mustapha, our driver, was very savvy with Google Maps and was able to quickly get us to destinations -- whether he knew them or not. His car (a 4x4) was clean and comfortable. Mustapha also played excellent music, which made our 8-hour trek from Marrakesh to Fez especially enjoyable. We often fell asleep in the car, and Mustapha would get us to our destination with ease. We also often left our bags and other possessions with him and he took good care of everything. I would DEFINITELY ask Mustapha to work with me again and and I highly recommend both Moroccan Sun and Mustapha to future travelers.

Just finished our 12 day adventure around Morocco with Under the Moroccan Sun and this is THE BEST TOUR COMPANY.
I want to first note that I researched about a dozen different companies that offered similar itineraries. Not only was this company the most reasonably priced for 5 star accommodations and a private driver, but the customer service was outstanding. Hassan answered all of my questions ( of which I had many!) and checked in often while we were on the trip to ensure we were enjoying our time. He sent the itinerary with all of the details of lodging, meals, etc right away and addressed all of my questions promptly. We even had a fairly last minute change to our flights and had to extend our stay in Morocco, and Hassan quickly put together a new itinerary for us.
When we arrived, we were met by our driver Yusef who greeted us with a big welcoming smile. He graciously allowed us to skip the tour around Casablanca the day we arrived because neither of us got any sleep on the plane. He offered this same type of flexibility for the entirety of the trip, but after the first day, we felt much better and didn’t want to miss a single thing.
Each day Yusef carefully described the days’ activities and as he drove us all over country, he gave us information about the history and culture of Morocco and answered all of our questions. He took great care in pointing out interesting sights and good photo opportunities. Every time we met Yusef, we were greeted with the same big welcoming smile. He helped us translate when needed, carried our giant suitcases to every hotel, and made sure we were happy and healthy for the entire trip. He was always available for a ride or to answer a question, even on our “free days”. He always made us feel safe and secure, and like we had a true friend here in Morocco. Driving in Morocco was a little crazier than Americans are used to, but Yusef was an excellent driver and we always felt safe in his hands. He went out of his way to make sure all of our Covid testing require more weOn the last day, we were both really sad to leave Morocco, but grateful to have made a new friend.
As far as the itinerary, we got to see all of the highlights Morocco has to offer. We felt like great care was put into selecting amazing accommodations that were centrally located. Every single Riad was beautiful and different. The breakfasts were all delicious. We loved being close to all the action in both Chefcheouen, Fes and Marrakech. The hotel and camps in the Sahara desert were some of our absolute favorites. Everywhere we went we had knowledgeable local guides to show us around, give us insider tips, and make us feel welcome. While all of the local guides were outstanding, one of our favorite “local” experiences was with Idriss in Risanni. We got to explore a Berber pharmacy and try Berber pizza.
Everything about this trip was perfectly planned and executed. I absolutely recommend Under the Moroccan Sun to anyone traveling to Morocco!

Booking a trip to Morocco felt very overwhelming, so my husband solicited the help of a travel guide. After phone calls with a few different companies, he felt most confident with Hassan at Under Moroccan Sun.
After talking with Hassan, we appreciated that he wasn’t pushy at all with booking us, yet more interested in learning about what we wanted our travel experience to be. He was always professional, super responsive and very knowledgeable of different activities we could try. Additionally, UMS is a locally based travel company, so all the guides and places we stayed at allowed our money to go back into the local economy, which was important to us.
Being a younger couple that likes to really try to immerse ourselves in the culture, we had no desire to be huddled onto tour buses or tossed into large group outings. UMS provides a private driver that is with you the duration of your trip, and all guided activities were private. Hassan created an itinerary that captured historical tours of each city, cultural activities, luxury leisure and downtime, and adventure!
The service we received from the moment we arrived was incredible. Our private driver, Mohcin, was so welcoming and made us instantly feel comfortable! We very much enjoyed spending 10 days with him, and are grateful for how well he took care of us! He was always prompt, flexible with requests and is just a great guy to be around! He even took us to his sister’s home to experience her amazing couscous and meet some of his family - a memory we will never forget!
Each of the local guides we met was knowledgeable and so kind. They each made us feel comfortable; always happy to answer questions, take photos, show us hidden gems, and ensure we were happy during our guided tours. We never felt like they were just showing tourists around, yet more like we were their friends visiting and they got to show us the ins and outs of their city!
Every riad/hotel we stayed at was amazing. They were all well located for us to venture out on our own, clean and comfortable, with great staff. Hassan really hooked us up with the best of the best!
I could keep going on with how incredible Hassan, Mohcin, and everyone we met along the way was in making our trip to Morocco truly unforgettable. Hassan created a trip of a lifetime for us with the perfect balance of activity and leisure. We felt so fortunate that he stopped by our riad to meet and have coffee together on our last day! We would give him 10 stars if we could and highly recommend you look no further than Under Moroccan Sun for your trip! And be sure to request Mohcin - you won’t regret either decision!!

Our driver Mustapha was extremely professional, always punctual, and a very safe driver. We were a group of 4 women and always felt comfortable with him, and trusted him with our luggage and many souk purchases while out and about. We traveled with him from Marrakesh to Fez and finally to Casablanca. He knew his way around and often gave us wonderful suggestions for our self-guided exploration. He spoke English fluently and even played great American music! I highly recommend this company for your next Morocco trip!

Under the Moroccan Sun made our family visit to Morocco unforgettable. We visited Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fez, and Marrakech, along with day trips to other cities like Rabat and smaller getaways like the Ouzoud Falls. Everything was meticulously planned: from the daily itinerary with local tour guides, to the beautiful Riads bookings, to the private tours of Jewish historical sites. That was all thanks to our helpful and communicative tour organizer Hassan, and our driver, Mouad — I can't put into words how much of a gem he is. He went above and beyond to connect us with the owner of what used to be my grandfather's apartment so we could tour it. He was in the best spirits day in and day out. He taught us so much about life in Morocco. We'll always remember him and the great times we all had together. Hassan was also extremely proactive in helping me get back my luggage after the airline lost it for a few days, then held it in a storage room for a month. If it weren't for him, I truly would've never seen my luggage again. An enormous thank you to everyone at Under the Moroccan Sun!

I work for a travel company, and we used Under Moroccan Sun for our 14-day excursion around Morocco. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Hassan who stayed with us for the entire trip. He took care of myself and five of my female friends, ensuring we were safe, comfortable, cared for, and happy throughout. I can’t say enough good things about Hassan and the time we spent in Morocco. He took us all over the country, showing us the major highlights and engaging us in immersive cultural experiences. These memories are priceless and will live forever in my heart. This trip completely exceeded my expectations, and because of Hassan’s passion for his country and professionalism, I will undoubtedly be back to Morocco and use Hassan’s services in the future. (Hassan, we love and miss you so much already. Thank you for everything! You’re welcomeeee!)

I wish I could give Hassan a million star review because he deserves it!
The first thing that needs to be given accolades for is his awareness for his surroundings and safe driving.
His kindness, authenticity and ability to connect with his community as well as his travelers is so wonderful to witness. He really knows everyone and each person in every city he says hi to clearly loves him too.
He is extremely timely, courteous and helpful in every way. Feeling safe traveling with 5 other women for two weeks is a priority and Hassan protected us, guided us and had us laughing the whole time. I cannot wait to come back to Morocco and do it again with Hassan as our fearless leader.
Thank you Hassan for everything!!! You provided us with a trip of a lifetime and we are so grateful.

We were able to customize our trip with Hassan from Under Moroccan Sun to fully meet our needs. Other tour operators wanted us to follow a prescribed path, but Hassan worked with us to create the itinerary we desired. Even after the trip was booked and paid for, Hassan continued to work to improve it and found us a better lodging option in Fes. We really appreciated that.
After the tragic earthquake on Sept 8th, Hassan communicated with us to assure us we could continue with our trip. We left some agenda items flexible, but were able to visit everywhere we had planned with no disruption once the trip occurred. Having a driver with us and at our disposal throughout the trip was very reassuring and Mohamed took great care of us start to finish. During the trip there were a few minor hiccups but between Hassan and Mohamed they were always able to smooth out any misunderstandings.
Delving deep into the history and culture of this wonderful country was a highlight for us. We especially enjoyed wandering the medinas in each city and never felt unsafe- even when we were on our own. We purchased many gifts and souvenirs and quite enjoyed the purchasing process. We were never pressured by the vendors and the negotiating was always lighthearted and fun. Mohamed helped us get everything shipped home - which would have been more of a struggle without his assistance. We have used several tour companies over our three decades of travel and Under Moroccan Sun is up amongst the best. I couldn’t imagine better for a trip to Morocco.

I was lucky enough to be a part of a 14-day excursion through Morocco and Hassan was our driver/guide. I couldn’t have asked for better person to handle a group of six very different women. He was extremely kind and patient and made us feel safe. He took the time to explore with us and shared his knowledge about his culture. He was attentive and was always happy to answer any questions you had and most importantly, he was a good listener. He told me that what he loved most about his job is meeting new people and hearing their stories. He is genuinely interested in learning about other cultures and where we came from. Someone like Hassan makes the trip so much more enjoyable and the overall experience just so much more memorable. If I ever make my way back to Morocco, I would definitely use Under the Moroccan Sun and hope that I can see Hassan again!

From the time I was first in contact with Under the Moroccan Sun, to the time we were dropped off at the airport for our departure, our experience was wonderful. Hassan took my requests and came back with an itinerary that was everything I had asked for at a reasonable price, with upgraded hotels from a standard tour. Our driver and tour guide, Mohammad, guided us, 2 women traveling alone, through the unknown Moroccan countryside with care, and sharing with us the beautiful history and his love for Morocco.

I am going to be in Casablanca in the evening of July 31 & fly out on Aug 1 in the evening. I'm looking for an airport pick up at 7:30pm, do a night tour of Casablanca, then the next morning take the tour & be dropped to the airport for my 4:30pm flight (need to be at the airport at 2pm). Can you customise a tour for me?

Hello.
You can definitely visit Marrakesh as a day trip from Casablanca, yet I would not advise on day tripping the blue city from Casablanca as it takes longer to cross distances in Morocco due to the infrastructure, driving mentality...etc.

My wife and I will be in Casablanca on March 22. We are on an A&K Tour of Morocco that starts on March 23. We are interested in having a guide to take us to some of the sights in central Casablanca on March 22. The sights we have in mind would include the old Medina, boulevard Mohamed V and so forth. What are the rates for a private guide for the day?
