Lovely, relaxing experience
Mar 2019 • Solo
I found Hammam Solidarietere on TripAdvisor and was thrilled it was a 15 min walk from where I was staying. I went around 9:30 am and there was only one other patron. As others have mentioned, the staff do not speak much English, but we worked through with hand signals and a few giggles. I got the entry + gommage + savonnage for 80 dh, my mit and black soap brought the total to 102 dh. I would highly recommend this place! The scrubbing was only mildly painful, definitely tolerable, and the massage was expertly done. I was there for about 1.5 hrs total. Thank you thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience!

Very freindly

The concept is very nice and very important for th beneficiaries, women in need.
The place is clean and the service is very friendly and warm. It needs some maintenance and some marketing in order to attract attention.
Very recommended if you need a nice, quiet & quick Hammam.

Great Experience
Jul 2016 • Friends
Took a taxi to the location driver had to ask a few times but not too hard to find. Had a deep scrub down, hair wash and massage. About 100 diahrams. Bought natural soap and the scrubbing mit. Facility was very clean. They cleaned the pad with bleach before I sat on it. Very friendly staff and a great cause.

Amazing experience!
Jun 2016 • Solo
Had a wonderful time at this hammam the moment I arrived in Morocco, after a few weeks of exhausting travel.

Some practical info I would've liked to know:

- Closes at around 9pm. I got in late (around 8pm), and they were preparing for close. But still served me. Earlier probably would've meant a slower service and more time to steam.

- Tramway station is 'wafasalaf'. Im confused why the maps and other posts say 'les hospitaux' when I couldn't actually find it on the tram. As long as you get off at that location (near hospital) it'll be correct though.

- Put the address into google maps before you leave hotel, so you know how to walk there from tram stop (follow your dot).

- 130 gets you the 'special package' which includes soaping you up, scrubbing you down (really hard), massage, and hair wash. I paid 150 total as I had to buy the scrub and black soap (brought my own shampoo, conditioner, towel, body wash)

- Bring your own padlock if you want to lock your locker.

Overall a great, local experience. No expectations for tips - which I always find awkward. They spent a lot of time on me, even though it was closing time.

I gave 4 stars as the massage itself wasn't firm enough and because they were closing, they were airing out the hammam so I didn't really get steamed.

Great gommage and massage
Nov 2015 • Solo
Found the hammam without any difficulty. Had taken my own towel and shampoo, so a gommage (where you get scrubbed down) and a massage from a different woman plus buying a glove and some black soap came to 180 MAD. With tips under £14.
They kept my belongings behind the front desk for me.Wasn't actually sure what I was supposed to do,but they were very helpful. Helps to understand/speak some french.
Had to get dressed to go downstairs for the massage.
Would definitely be back there every week if I lived nearby. It was great.

Great place
May 2015 • Friends
It is a great place to go and get a rub down and massage. What is nice is that it is for Women only, so no risk of bumping into a man while not wearing clothes (hehe).
Friendly and good at what they do. Price was standard I think but it helps a good cause.

Best experience of my life!!!
I usually won't use such a sensationalist title for a review, but in this case it is so true I wish I could shout it out!
Like other reviewers said, the hamman is very easy to find. You can take the tram and get off at Les Hôpitaux and it is a 5-minute walk from there. The tram is cheap (2 trips return is 13 Dirhams) and you can pay by card or coins. The tickets are scanned when you getting in and out, pretty self explanatory.
The hamman is for women only, and although the staff don't speak English, it is quite easy to follow what is going on.
I had the entry+scrubbing+massage (80Dirhams) and scrub glove (20Dirhams) + black soap (5Dirhams). It is just about 10€ in total, much cheaper than you would get from hotels.
Mind you, this is where locals go to and I read other reviews so brought my own bathing suit (only bikini bottom will suffice depending on how shy you are), towel for drying, shampoo and shower gel, slippers. You can choose to bring a change of underwear or not.
So what do you do? You first pay at the front desk, and then go to he changing room. You can put all your stuff in the locker, just need to take your shampoo, shower gel, scrubbing glove and black soap into the hamman. Most women are topless in hamman, so you can do so as well. You can take your towel and hang it onside the hamman (don't take it in).
You can get pour some water on yourself, and/or put the black soap on until a girl comes and start scrubbing you. The rest is pretty much left to her. Mine spent a good hour on me, scrubbed me, and washing me, massaging me (including shower-gelling me and shampooing me).
It was so relaxing and I wish I could only come back for more!!!
Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a genuine hamman experience.
From what I read it is for good cause as well, supporting local women especially single mothers.

The best massage in my life!!!
Jan 2015 • Solo
Italian follows:

This hammam has been my best experience in Casablanca. I wish I could stay more to go there again. I have paid 80dh for entrance+scrub+savonnage, plus 20dh for the scrub glove. 100dh total (less than 10 euros) and I've had a 5 stars service. The masseuse, Hanna, was a sweet and smiling girl who took care of me for more than one hour. Not only she made an accurate gentle scrub and savonnage on me, but she made a very professional and relaxing massage, even though I had not paid for it, and without asking any money or tip. I felt regenerated and delighted. My skin now is soft and smooth.
More than that, it's good to choose Hammam Solidarité Feminine because it helps single mothers and it's a social enterprise. It's not a touristic experience: it's an authentic local hammam for the women of the neighbourhood.
It's easy to find: take the tram and get town at Les hopitaux stop. After that ask for Chawki street: it will take less than 5 minutes walk.
Tips: bring your own bath suit or one more pair of underware; bring bathgel and shampoo, slippers and a towel. If you arrive without, you can buy everything at the Hammam for around 130dh.
Have a nice hammam!

A friendly local hammam. I wish I brought along my own toiletries
Feb 2013 • Friends
I went to Hammam Solidarite Feminine for the first time. It was around 7 pm. There are a number of women inside. Everyone was nice and polite and they brought their own toiletries. It seems that the staff expected me to bring my own toiletries too, such soap, shampoo, towel, etc. I wish I knew that. They run out the bath cloth for scrubbing, so none for me to buy and no towel to rent. They only have a big bottle of shampoo for me to buy for 40 dirham which I used only 1/4 of it max. I had a good bath and scrub. I just wish I knew better what to bring before going there.
