We loved our tour through the Habbous district with our guide, Nezha. She was so nice, knowledgeable of the area, and took us all to the best spots. The tour ended up being just my husband and I so we got basically a private tour! We started with some history of Habbous, then headed into the market. She guided us through the winding alleys and we tried multiple things including olives, fresh crepes, bread with almond/honey paste and Argon oil, mint tea, pomegranate juice, prickly pear cactus, arbutus fruit, pastille, cookies/pastries, dates, and nuts. We also went through different parts of the market including spices, clothes, art, residential areas, rugs, butchers, and coffee. She showed us a community oven and communal bathhouse for women where she bought me some black soap and clay. We sat down at one of the food stands and ate various grilled meats including camel, lamb chops, sausage, kefta, onions & tomato, chicken tajine, and more mint tea. We finished the tour with Moroccan dessert at a local cafe that was a type of rice flan with honey and almonds. We were happy and full by the end. Can’t recommend a tour with Nezha more. She was an amazing guide! Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and experience of Habbous and Casablanca.

I did the online cooking class with Christine B. and it was awesome. It was a great way to visit without leaving my home. She was so patient with me and explained everything in detail. The food I made was very tasty and nutritious. I also learned how to use a tagine I bought about 20 years ago and had never used. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something out of the ordinary.

Thanks so much for the nice comments about the Online Moroccan Cooking class! It was a genuine pleasure connecting with you and I'm so glad that you're now comfortable using that tagine! Once you've made a few different recipes, you'll have the framework for experimenting with different meat and vegetable combos. Let me know if you have any questions!

Highly recommend this cooking class! Two friends and I signed up for it as we had an extra day in Casablanca before joining a tour. Our instructor is a food writer and was able to explain so much about Moroccan cuisine and culture. We started with a market tour and loved seeing all the activity and traditional foods. Many of the things there were new to us. We tried fried flat bread and mint tea at a stall in the market then our instructor drove us to her home. We made fish tagine, chicken tagine, some salads and homemade bread. Hardly had room for the dessert so we were sent home with cookies to eat back at the hotel. Really a fun time and we'll be sure to take more cooking classes when we travel.

We booked a lunch cooking class with a local in her home and it was awesome. Very unique experience. Chamsi was so welcoming, friendly, patient and knowledgeable that the 3 hours with her felt like a breeze. We are so well, everything was delicious. Highly recommend this unique experience if you’re looking for something other than a food tour.

Believe the reviews - I chose the Casablanca food tour based on how amazing the reviews were.
This is a genuine, small business who run tours based on their guide’s knowledge and recommendations.
Nezha was wonderful. She took her time to talk us through the history and context of the area, before taking us to a number of local stalls and restaurants to try (a lot of) the local specialities and produce. This tour is off the beaten track. We saw no other tourists. The locals are all friendly and you are not under pressure to buy things. It was exactly what we wanted, a way to understand the real Casablanca and eat what the locals eat.
We were so stuffed by the end, don’t eat breakfast or make plans for dinner!

We had a wonderful time with Nezha! This was so much more than just a food tour - Nezha is extremely knowledgeable and so warm. We could feel her joy in sharing Casablanca’s well-kept secrets with us. We explored areas we most likely never would’ve discovered without her guidance, and got to try so many different and delicious things while learning so much about the history of Casablanca. Also, her lamb chops are amazing!!! 😊 This was the perfect way to start our Morocco trip!! I highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic food tour! Nezha is a wonderful guide! She is warm, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. We did this tour the first day of our vacation in Morocco and I'm so glad this was how we started. The food was delicious and we learned so much. Nezha gave us a great overall picture of the food we would encounter while we were in Morocco.

This tour was our introduction to Casablanca and Morocco as a whole. We had a great morning getting the opportunity to try a range of tasty treats while having an incredibly authentic experience in a local market. Hasnaa was so passionate about this city and ensured we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get off the tourist track and explore Casablanca. Rated 4/5 as it was an expensive experience however we would definitely recommend.

We're happy you liked the tour with Hasnaa and hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Morocco. Thank you for your feedback about pricing. We run our food tours for small groups of two to six people in order to provide a personal, customized experience. Many travelers who book through TripAdvisor are unaware that 25 percent of their payment goes directly to TripAdvisor. As a result, we either break even or take a slight loss when running a food tour at our two-person minimum.

We had a fabulous tour of old and new Casablanca sampling foods along the way. Hasnaa is a gifted guide. She sat in the back of the van across from us so we could talk and hear better, She even bough a fez for Gary to wear (over his baseball cap.) Hasnaa is always upbeat and so knowledgeable about Moroccan history and culture. The country is in her heart and soul. In addition to all the snacks we had, we ate so much lunch we had to skip dinner that night, We are now motivated to return to Morocco and see more cities and sites with Hasnaa.

My 13-year-old daughter and I did an online cooking class with Chamsi. We had an absolute blast, my daughter learned a lot, and Chamsi made the class a lot of fun. Best of all, we cooked a feast the entire family could enjoy. I highly recommend this class.
