Our online cooking class with Chamsi was such fun for my 3 teenagers and I. Half a world away - it was lunchtime for us in San Francisco and evening in Casablanca - Chamsi made us feel so welcome in her kitchen, was so adept at guiding our range of ages and skills and suggesting substitutions when for instance we weren't able to find preserved lemons and patient while at times we were slow to keep up. We not only had a delicious meal but felt we had a cultural journey and walked away with skills to on our own make our next tagines and Moroccan salads! Thank you, Chamsi and Christine!

My 13-year-old daughter and I did an online cooking class with Chamsi. We had an absolute blast, my daughter learned a lot, and Chamsi made the class a lot of fun. Best of all, we cooked a feast the entire family could enjoy. I highly recommend this class.

I did the online cooking class with Christine B. and it was awesome. It was a great way to visit without leaving my home. She was so patient with me and explained everything in detail. The food I made was very tasty and nutritious. I also learned how to use a tagine I bought about 20 years ago and had never used. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something out of the ordinary.

Thanks so much for the nice comments about the Online Moroccan Cooking class! It was a genuine pleasure connecting with you and I'm so glad that you're now comfortable using that tagine! Once you've made a few different recipes, you'll have the framework for experimenting with different meat and vegetable combos. Let me know if you have any questions!

I went as part of the Semester At Sea cohort. We were warmly welcomed with various deserts, and we had the opportunity to pour our own tea, Moroccan style. Then we dressed in apron and were fully submerged in the cooking experience hands on. We learned about the different spices and made a number of local dishes including chicken tajine. I honestly enjoyed my time at The Taste of Casablanca.

We had a great tour through the real Casablanca. So much food and drink! All delicious. The highlight for us was the community baker who manned the ovens and did baking and cooking for the whole community and the commercial cookie shop next door. Our guide, Nezha, was excellent and knew all the ins and outs. We highly recommend this tour

Thanks so much for your feedback! I love the street oven as well. Last time I passed through, mechoui (a whole roasted lamb) was being prepared and a few locals dropped off bread for baking. Some bastillas were also on the racks waiting for a turn in the oven. Let us know if you need any recipes of foods you tried during your travels.
