Grand old building
Mar 2021 • Solo
This is certainly a grand old building and is quite a focal point for the centre of Algiers. However, it does not seem to be open to the public. It’s a busy place because of its location - it’s at the end of the most popular shopping street in the city and surrounded by popular cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful Building

Beautiful building with an amazing North African architecture. It means a lot to residents of Algiers! Beside it is where all the peaceful demonstrations start!

Algeri 🇩🇿

Algeri is the capital of Algeria and the province of the same name. It is also the most important port in the country. The Arabic name, "le tarantan", derives from a group of small islets in front of the coast of the city and currently no longer visible as incorporated into the protection barriers and breakwaters of the port.

Old building near the cafes
Sep 2019
It was in a local neighborhood with many traditional cafes and stores
But the building was closed and it was not possible to visit it easily because of the police there

Algeria is a beautiful country to visit. More beautiful than Spain France Italy or Greece. Beautiful beach, cheap and delicious food, very kind and welcoming peoples, in Algeria you have a coast of 1200 km, mountain, desert, and you have the 4 seasons

Very nice mauresque architecture. But unfortunately closed for renovation.
It should be a museum in the near future.

Interesting place and people

We visited the place 2 days back and it stood out majestically. The square it stands on seems to live it up due to its presence. If u r n Algeria def worth dropping by here. Enjoy your visit.

A Must-to-visit!
Nov 2018
If it's your first time in Algiers, then this is a good opportunity to visit that iconic historical building located in the middle of the capital. Plenty shops and cafés in here. Gradens and highlights of touristic spots are just nearby.
