It was a gorgeous July day, just to enjoy the outside in this well kept and lush garden. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming. It was 8 dollars, I believe, for adults, while students and children had a lower rate. If the butterflies are out, that alone is worth the entrance fee.

Just beautiful no matter what time of the year it is. At first it may appear that it is small but it is so well laid out it takes half the day to enjoy all of it. There is something for all ages. If I lived there I would get an annual pass so that I could enjoy it throughout... More

The Reiman Gardens are on the University of Iowa campus. The various species in the gardens are impeccably marked, so there is no question what plant or flower you are looking at. From a size standpoint, these gardens are a bit smaller than many other municipal gardens I've seen, so while they are worht a visit, you probably will spend... More

We visited with my in-laws recently and really enjoyed it. The botanical gardens are impressive and the Lego displays are whimsical and fun, even if you're not into Legos. If in the area, it's worth a visit. The admission is worth it. Butterfly area is nice.

Daughter & I enjoyed a wonderful time in the gardens & butterfly wing. My 1st visit there & I enjoyed every moment! There were about a trillion butterflies in the building! All beautiful creatures. Such fun to see so many. We enjoyed the lego displays in the gardens. Amazing what was made with legos! The flowers were all in bloom... More

The first surprise was at the front desk. As we were getting an explanation of the facility at the front desk, one of the ladies appraised my wife and suggested the use of a mobility cart at no charge. At this point, I stop and thank the Ames Kiwanis for their generosity with the donation of the carts. Even at... More

I have been to Rieman Gardens many times over the years and each time something different catches my eye. I've gone to weddings in the spring and fall, they have indoor and outdoor venues that are perfect. I've been there for the fourth of July party and for the Christmas season. It's a fascinating place. The gardens are well kept,... More

This was not my first visit to Reiman Gardens, and it will not be my last! Beautiful plantings along meandering paths that lead from one themed garden to the next. The displays change each time I'm here, and there is always something new in season. At the time of this visit, there were phenomenal sculptures made of thousands of Legos... More

Well worth the price of $8 for admission. We walked the gardens for over 2 hours and still did not see all the grounds. The space is laid out so it does not seem crowded. The experience is educational as well as relaxing. The Lego displays are outstanding. Hats off to staff and those who maintain the grounds. It did... More
