Unfortunately, I can't recall this lovely woman's name, but we were there on March 16th, and she was very kind, interesting and entertaining! Got to explore the entire center from top to bottom. Took a selfie with my husband next to the "American Farmer" statue.

The visitor center is a nice place to go first when visiting the Amana Colonies. The receptionist was knowledgeable and informative about what to see and gave directions to the different places. The building is unique and not your typical visitor center.

They have a wealth of information there and merchandise for sale. Most importantly the public restrooms are next to the center. Just north of the center! It is the old Amana fire station. Be sure to go up the stairs to the cupola! The center...More
