- jfurukawVernon Hills, Illinois601 contributionsNice open area to walk around. Most stores open although several were not. Most stores were open although many were closed. Certainly has a good selection of stores to buy just about anything that you might be shopping for. Plenty of signs demanding usage of masks and social distancing. There were several hand sanitizer stations all over. Number of open washrooms was very minimal and signage for locating the open ones was pretty horrible. All stores seemed to have provisions for social distancing and I did not see anyone without masks. There were very few people roaming around the mall.Visited September 2020Written September 15, 2020
- robert KOrland Hills, Illinois79 contributionsOutlet doesnt mean Values and SavingsThis is a nice clean and large outdoor shopping outlet. I commend the owners for keeping the vacancy rates down. There are plenty of stores, places to get a snack and nice clean areas to rest. There is a good amount of parking. My issues are with the stores. Dont expect big discounts here. I was disappointed by the lack of good values. This was especially for all the athlectic shoe store. I found better prices at Kohls stores than I found out here. Aunt Annes Prezels prices are 20% higher out here than in the mall down the street from my home. Come here for a nice visit, enjoy the clean areas and know what yu are looking for.Visited July 2021Written July 8, 2021
- James AWindsor, Canada18,639 contributionsPretty good, but very busy. Too many people.I went on a weekend and so likely not a good time to avoid crowds. I really was just looking for shoes. I usually go to New Balance, but the deals weren’t great. I wondered into the Reebok store and found amazing deals so it worked out. If you can go in a week day I would suggest that.Visited May 2022Traveled soloWritten May 22, 2022

All brands that I was looking for promotions I found. I didnt use it but there was extra discounts for those who downloaded the app. Prices were good, mostly when you buy a second piece you get a upgraded discounts, so Unit prices get even better. Nice price.

Parking is a MAJOR problem. People can't find parking over the weekend and have to waste lot of time and then double park.
Management must have bribed city officials otherwise no project should be approved with so little parking with so many stores.
Shame on officials for not taking action for 5 years.

Make your way to Union Station and purchase a return ticket to Aurora. Return ticket per person costs $16.
Journey takes about 90 minutes. Once in Aurora walk outside the train station and you will see bus stop 156. Take this bus out to the Shopping Mall $2 each way (pay the driver). Bus takes about 25 minutes to get out to the mall. Happy Shopping

Good selection of shops, and looks like another 50 or so are under construction for summer 2015. The main issue with this place is the parking, there is not enough and so have to park around the back which involves entering through a service/ delivery corridor.

If you love shopping, fighting for a parking spot, shoulder to shoulder crowds, this is the place to be. To be fair I have only been to the mall twice even though I live in the area. I just don't have the patience to deal with the crowds so I stay away. I also didn't see anything that was that great of a deal.

Had 2.5 hours here and shopped for every minute. Great variety of stores, amazing discounts and I just wish I had more time as I didn’t even get all the way around. Not too crowded on a Tuesday evening and staff very friendly and helpful. Bargains galore :-)

If you’re looking for a place with a huge variety of stores, than this is the place for you! From True Religion to Old Navy they have it all BUT....this is not true Outlet shopping. Some stores do have markdowns on markdowns but most of the stores only have, what I consider “sale” prices. Most of the prices are what you can get at any store. And the only “Outlet” worthy prices are usually a section towards the back of the store and it’s not anything special. Except after Thanksgiving, then most stores pull all the stops. It’s still nice to walk around outside and there’s some great specialty snack shops.

The Chicago Premium outlet was very crowded when we went (we went on a Sunday). The shops were smaller compared to other premium outlets and hence the selections (and discounts) very limited.
There was a long queue for COACH outlet and we didn't even bother to queue to go in. The good thing about this Chicago premium outlet was that it had a food court within the outlet and offered a very convenient lunch option.
All shops were located very near to each other (and shop size per shop very small). We found that the Chicago Premium outlet didn't offer as much discounts as we were normally accustomed to (compared to Waikele Outlet, Lighthouse Place Outlet or Woodbury Commons Outlet). In fact, one of the regular shoppers I know went away empty-handed during our recent trip to Chicago Premium Outlet! This same shopper would lug 7-8 bags full of shopping loot in other premium outlets!

The Chicago premium outlet mall is a good place to go for brand names, if you want to pay too much money. Plan on the mall being incredibly crowded. Parking is almost nonexistent, and bundle up if you are going in the winter because it is mostly outside. The Nike store is nice though, but that is about it.

It’s very large and a bit easy to get turned around. We were in a rush and seeking only one item, and it seemed like we walked a half mile. Lots of choices.

Hi guys, 3 or 4 years ago I went to Chicago and I remember there was a bus near by the Loop that was exclusively going to the Premium Outlets few times a day... I bought tickets for that and it was great, no stops, even they gave us a brochure with disccounts and everything it was full trip... and I'm going to the city again next week and I just can't find that bus anymore, the practical options are just too far away or take a lot of time... coul please anyone remember this and tell me where can I find it?
Thnks!

It's hit and miss...we have been here and have come away with amazing deals. Today we were there and left empty handed. Closer to normal prices today. Nicest outlet in Illinois and neighboring states though. Always try to visit when we are in the area.

Prices vary, but most of the stores have sales and seasonal discounts. There's a Guest Center in the mall where you can also get a booklet with discount coupons for some stores there. From my experience, you can get some good bargains at this mall. Given the exchange rate today (1 euro = 1,17 dollars) you might find some great deals at the Chicago Premium Outlets. They have over 150 stores there. Enjoy your shopping!

hello
How can I reach there? public transport or any shuttle?

Chicago, IL29,714 contributions
There is public transportation, but you would have to look up schedules for both the Metra or Pacebus. As far as shuttles, that would depend on where you were staying. I doubt, seriously, that there would be a shuttle from downtown Chicago to Aurora just for the outlet mall.

Is there a place to hang out from about 8 am until the mall opens at 10 am?

There is a strip mall with breakfast stuff and there is a Walmart & Starbucks nearby. Go to corner of Kirk (Farnsworth)/Butterfield Rd
