This is an interesting museum with some bazaar exhibits. It is very informative but the exhibits aren’t appropriate for children under 14 or 15. Also anyone who has nightmares or are easily frightened by things that are scary but factual should avoid this place. But...More

Fun little diversion in Alton IL, some pretty creepy displays mixed with a few cheesy ones. Actual artifacts mixed with a few replicas? The historic hotel it's housed in is supposedly very haunted and currently filled with "hippy dippy" crystal and incense shops, natural soap...More

We went to the museum and it is very creepy. All of the device's were used to hurt and mutilate people. It was also in a haunted building!

The museum was small but the collection was comprehensive enough to be thoroughly disturbing. I never knew that there were so many ways to inflict pain on another human being.
