The drive from the east to north shore is scenic and china man's hat does not disappoint as a backdrop for your selfies. It is too far to swim to but makes for a great picture while you drive up to Sunset beach in the...More

I went to Chinaman's Hat with some friends who were all feeling quite as adventurous as I was, and we can all tell you that everything we did in and around Mokoli'i (Chinaman's Hat) was abolutely fun and exciting. We rented out kayaks from Kailua...More

My husband checked off an item on his bucket list. Kayaking across to Chinaman's Hat is beautiful and standing at the top makes you feel like the King/Queen of your own island. Beautiful Views!

Easily seen from the highway and there is Avery nice park attached. Plenty of free parking. Sunny day is best for pictures but always nice to take in great scenery. The mountains across the highway are neat too. Definitely worth a stop. It’s free!

Nice area to take a photo and put the hat on top of your head. The island can be easily viewed from the park

We took 2 adults and 2 nine year olds over to Chinaman's Hat via kayak while 2 adults snorkeled across (about 14 minutes). We then hiked/climbed our way to the top. Our kids are use to hiking but my daughter was uncomfortable at times (my...More

Kualoa Regional Park Nature Reserve is the best place to get the full effect of Chinaman's Hat. Picnic lunches would be a nice touch. Beach is rather rocky/coral-y. but if beach chairs are in the trunk, by all means. Beach/water shoes HIGHLY recommended (for all...More
