We rented a tandem kayak to visit Chinaman’s Hat. The instructions were clear and we arrived to the check in location easily.
I wish the kayaks were closer to the water because dragging them over and back was kind of a pain. They provide you with a dry bag, vests, and of course the paddles and kayak. The instructions to get to this little bay kind of area weren’t very clear so we stayed where it was safe. Great views nonetheless. Pricier than others, but they bring the kayaks to you so that’s the advantage. Others require you to pick them up and drive them over then return them.

I booked with this company after reading reviews on TA. Shane is the owner and he was the one taking us out for the day. When I reserved, months in advance, we spoke at length on the phone about my family's experience hiking, etc and what we would be interested in doing. He asked for our fin sizes for snorkeling and we chose lunch options. When the trip rolled around months later, it was like we had spoken just the day before! He showed up in front of our hotel exactly on time with fins, snorkels, drinks, bottled water and lunch all packed in the van ready to go.
We had a day of adventure, including snorkeling, turtle watching, amazing views, hiking to a waterfall and cliff diving (which sounds scary, but it was actually very safe). We stopped at a place to sample macadamia nuts and another road side stand to buy some local fruits and try fresh lychee and mountain apples. Shane was full of all sorts of information and was very well versed on the flora and fauna and the history of the area.
Having a private tour personalized to our needs sounds pricey, but this was really a bargain for what we got. Driver, equipment, lunch, etc. We went to places we would not have been comfortable by ourselves (where should we park, is this the right way, are our valuables safe, etc), so I can't recommend it enough.
Plus, he gave us good advice on some things to check out on the big island when we were there later in our trip. He also hooked us up with a great company for surf lessons a couple of days later on Waikiki.

THE BEST tour we could have asked for!! Professional, knowledgeable, fun and adventurous are just a fee of the words to describe our experience with Shane (owner and tour guide).
Shane exceeded our expectations in regards to both communication prior to our tour and all of the locations visited on our tour. Shane made us feel comfortable and really let us take control of the places that we wanted to visit. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND him for all types of parties , young couples, families and groups of friends, he is vary versatile and accommodating.

We had an amazing time with Shane from Adventure Tours. From waterfalls to snorkeling he took us places most locals don't even know about. If you want to really see Oahu and escape the hustle and bustle of Waikiki Shane is your guide!

We chose this package with this company thinking we had booked with a Pearl Harbour site direct? Also ticking the lunch option and believed that this included entry onto all vessels. Were we wrong. $929.85 USD
We were collected for our 9.5 hour day at 5.45am from our hotel arrived at Pearl Harbour gates till opened had time to browse around before our first scheduled stop of the tour. The actual movie footage prior to boarding the boat to the Arizona that was still closed due to reopen in 3 days time.
Prior to this however we had tried to look at the USS BOWFIN and were told we were required to pay $15.75 we to walk on we refused as thought it was included.
My husband went looking for Steve and our bus to no avail we then went to the information desk on site at Pearl Harbour to be told not included.
So that was that.
We then proceeded to the USS MISSOURI now this ship is something else.
She is a stunner and well worth climbing her to see the declaration and stand on her to take in what just happened all those years ago.
After this we did eat some yummy food and then taken swiftly white knuckle ride to Blue Hawaiian Helicopters as just my husband and I were going on the air component of this journey.
THIS WONT DISSAPPOINT YOU this was amazing.
The thing that did annoy us was sitting in Blue Hawaiian Helicopters waiting room for approximately 90+ mins because our Pearl Harbour tour was cut short .
So this is why choose your tour company properly we thought as I said was direct with Pearl Harbour but all our other tours were with Roberts were faultless??? And no white knuckles

This review is for the wrong company. It sounds like your looking for Roberts Hawaii?
I'm not sure which company you booked with but my company, Adventure Tours Hawaii does not offer an Air Land and Sea Package to Pearl Harbor. We are a small company that only offers activity island tours where our guests can snorkel, hike, and sightsee on Oahu. We do not offer any helicopter tours.
Can you please remove this review and repost it to the company which operated your tour? The negative review poorly reflects our TripAdvisor listing.

This is our 4th trip to Oahu and every time, we have been thrilled to work with Shane and Adventure Tours Hawaii; we'd never do it without him!.
When we first met several years ago, we did a private tour with Shane. Over the years, he has expanded the company to offer what he thinks are the best tours of the islands beyond what he offers with his own custom tours. And as much as I love and rely on Trip Advisor, my wife and I love and trust Shane when it comes to Hawaii.
We actually did 2 private tours with Shane this time. We were in Oahu celebrating our son's 21st birthday so Shane & Jay did a day to themselves. A couple of days later, all 3 of us went out. Both days were awesome - and completely different!!!
We also took advantage of Adventure Tours Hawaii's other offerings including a day-long photo tour (my wife is a professional photographer), scuba diving @ Sharks Cove and surfing lessons at Waikiki. Every one of them was FANTASTIC!
Adventure Tours Hawaii offers something for everyone. Their private tours are completely custom to what you like to do. Other tours that you book through their site are fully vetted and fantastic - the best of Hawaii. And let's face it... you're looking at Trip Advisor because you are looking for expert opinions on the best things to do and places to go, right? Shane is the local personification of that in Hawaii. Could not be better!

My family of 4 booked a day tour with Shane while in Hawaii and it was the best day of the trip. We had my 84 year old mother with us and Shane thoughtfully put together an itinerary that accommodated her needs. Shane was very knowledgeable about the island and we enjoyed learning all the history. He even brought us some lychee from his front yard! It really was like traveling with a good friend. So glad we did this. You will not regret it!

Shane was amazing! He is full of knowledge about Hawaii and it’s history. We are a family of 4 (2 kids 15 and 11) and Shane catered for all of us, he was particularly attentive to the kids. We had a packed day swimming & rock jumping the first waterfall then hiking to another waterfall, lookouts, boogie boarding, snorkeling & sea cliffs at sunset. We loved every minute and were thoroughly exhausted at the end of it! Lunch was included and delicious. I would highly recommend doing a private tour with Shane who will design your day to your requirements. Thank you Shane for the best day in Hawaii, we hope to have the opportunity to do another day with you on our next visit to Oahu. Mahalo.

Enjoyed a fantastic two days with Shane. Loved going to the different places on the island we were interested in seeing, as well as finding some hidden gems. We did some hiking, snorkeling and enjoyed hearing about the history of the islands. Shane is one of the best there is. Having a private local guide is the best way to see the island and he customized to our needs. Thanks to Shane for an enjoyable start to our holiday. Mahalo.

If you could only pick one tour whilst in Hawaii....then this is it! From the moment Shane picked us up we felt at home. He listened to our interests and completely tailored the day to suit us. Nothing ever felt rushed, and he was so knowledge able about the land, culture and their history.
We never thought it possible to see as much, or experience as much as we did, in just one day. The scenery was absolutely stunning and changed dramatically from one stop to the next. We snorkelled, hiked, cliff jumped to name a few.
Even though it was just my husband and i, we wouldn't hesitate to book him if we had our children with us, they would love him.
We can not recommend Shane enough. He is such a genuine bloke, and truly wants you to enjoy the day as much as possible. Making a last minute stop to watch some surfers along China Walls make the experience complete. Thank you so much Shane.

Thank you for your interest in my private customized adventure tours.
During the booking process you can select which activities you and your private group would like to experience. Hiking, Snorkeling, Waterfalls Swimming, Boogie Boarding, are available with Oahu's beautiful off the beaten path sightseeing destinations in between. If your not interested in activities, that is ok too. I’ll be sure to fill the day with all the best and most scenic locales.
With that information I will create a custom itinerary to be submitted. We can talk via email to make any adjustments you would like. I'll also send you a lunch menu email so you may place the groups order.
Prices are $150 per adult and $120 per child (ages 2-12) Children under 2 are free.
I have lots of availability for the first week in June.

I am a party of one looking for an off the beaten path tour of Oahu. I will be in Oahu July 1-4 and have the entire day of July 3 wide open. I am interested in taking in the sights with a little easy hiking. I am not able to enjoy being in the water due to recent hand surgery so sightseeing, walking and easy hiking is what I am interested in. Can you accomodate my requests?

I have a group of 8 coming for business. I am trying to coordinate a team fun day for our people. Most are in their late 50's and early 60's, with not much versatility...but, I would love to show them some cool places and a great time while visiting the island.

Sounds like fun! I am happy to help with guiding a customized tour for their interest. Some suggestions might be visiting various look out points with beautiful ocean and mountain views, taking nature walks to Ancient Hawaiian Temple Ruins, some light swimming off secret calm beaches with crystal clear water, visiting the North Shore, etc. I can think of lots of fun things to do with this group, they will love it!
