No Fireworks
Jun 2021
FYI- The fireworks are no longer running but are still advertised online. They stopped during Covid and never restarted. On 6/18/21, a crowd of people gathered outside to watch only to be disappointed. Bummer.

Friday night extravaganza fireworks.
Aug 2019 • Family
When at the Hilton you must do the fireworks display on a Friday evening, it is colossal and noisy and colourful and everything a fireworks display should be with no expense spared for your total satisfaction. Keep it up Hilton we thoroughly enjoyed it again.

Free Friday night Fireworks
Mar 2020
This free fireworks show which starts at 7:45pm is a worth seeing whilst in Waikiki. If you have children it should be a must visit. It perhaps only lasts 5 minutes.

Its quite popular and busy and the best views are had from the Hilton Lagoon.

Anywhere along the beach near the Hilton Lagoon will give you decent views anyway.

This was a good show for only 5 minutes but well worth it. Would go see it again. Anyone there on a Friday night should make time to see it.

Surprisingly entertaining fireworks
Feb 2020
The weekly Hilton Waikiki fireworks attracts large crowds, so be wary. My wife and I were on the south part of the beach at the Halekulani and were surprised and the waves of people making their way to the beach to watch the 5 minute show. The fireworks were colorful and had some of the fancy shapes (like happy faces). I thought it was worth the short walk to the beach for a free show...

Wouldn't watch again
Feb 2020 • Couples
We were there to secure a spot, sitting on a ledge. Security then made us move saying that area is off limits. They should have put a sign then in the first place so people would know straight away not to sit there intending to watch.

Ended up standing for more than an hour. Soon the place got very crowded, windy and cold.

Fireworks started. Took a video of it. It was only for 4 minutes.

I previously read a review where the guy said don't go out of your way just to watch it because it is not that good. I agree with him. For people who haven't watched any fireworks in their whole life, watching this would be great for them, I guess.

I wanted to post the video I took, but it won't let me.

Short, five minutes or so but it was five minutes of almost continuous fireworks. I'd view it again.

A lovely way to spend a friday night in wakikik on the beach watching fireworks.
Just make sure you get a spot early as they close access a good hour or 2 prior to the fireworks.

Added a lot
Jan 2020
We attended a "destination" wedding at the Hilton Hawaiian Village - chapel, reception, etc. and their management of the process was well managed and the hotel included a special, private viewing patio area for the wedding party to watch and take pics at the fireworks show. You had to be quick, the show was pretty short, but the bride & groom, as well as all the guests, were able to get good shots with fireworks behind and above them. I know there were folks around the lagoon, watching at different angles, but ours was great and added a lot to the celebration.
