Beautiful lighthouse on side of cliff. You can see it from the lookout or some people hike the paved pathway. Great photo op.

We were driving toward Diamonhead from the Windward Shore and pulled off here.
Lots of people camp here since there are facilities.
You'll need a map to find tha place - maps.me (an app for the phone) has it and I recommend it.
When you pull in, turn right and drive as far as you can. You'll still have a magnificent view of the islands just offshore but you'll also be in teh center of several ancient heiaus - Hawaiian temples. These are still held in reverence, so please do not woalk into the heiaus.

We do this hike about once a month with our dogs. Love it during whale season. Gets busy as more people know about it both locals and tourists. Morning is best trade winds keep you cool.

On a new raised smooth asphalt pathway , a barrier-free site. Some hardy folk can do it barefoot. It is a vertical hike, nice views along the way and at the top. No washrooms and very popular so be patient with parking. Adventurers can go off-piste to explore up and down a bit.

This one is pretty cool. And a local told us you can see whales at certain times of the year. The views are great. A nice spot.
