This is one of the larger park areas on the windward side. We basically drove here to get a picture of Mokoli’i (also known as Chinaman’s Hat). Full of Hawaiian lore, and seen on iconic postcards. You can actually swim or paddleboard to it, climb to the top if you dare. However, be aware that a number of people have died, or suffered serious injury over the years doing so. Too old anyway. Easy in or out of the park off Kamehameha Hwy. (83) With rest rooms, walkways, a few picnic tables, plentiful parking.

Was glad to be able to visit this place in our day tour. The beach is very calm the time the family visited. Water was clear, the Chinaman's hat is an island very prominent on the shore view. And if you look back the other side, you will see the majestic mountain that reminds you ok Jurassic park movie. The atmosphere is chill that can help you clear your mind. If you stay loong enought you might be able to collect pooka shells for a bracelet.

Great little park with a beautiful view! We brought take out and enjoyed lunch at the picnic tables before taking a walk. The water is rough, so we did not get in, but still enjoyed walking along the water. Bathrooms are primitive.

I will admit up front that we were too cheap to pay for the tours at Kualoa Ranch (the cheapest tour was $48/adult). But we got some lovely views, and crossed the road to Kualoa Regional Park. From there you can enjoy views of the mountains, check out the Chinaman’s Hat (memorable background for Pirates of the Caribbean and other movies), walk the beach, and picnic if you like. Lovely to look at, and a nice relaxing experience for singles, couples, and families.

We had a great time on our tour! The raptors were a blast to drive and the trails were beautiful. I had no idea just how many films were filmed on this location. (Im sure all of the guides are great) but I can't imagine they could beat our guide! Issac was funny, very welcoming and hooked us up with some photos and memories that will a life time! Try to get Issac if you can you won't be sorry! If your on the fence I say go for it!

The beach here at Kualoa is not as nice and wide as the beaches at Kailua or Lanikai, which fully deserve their great reputations.. However, the large free parking lot and large grassy area make Kualoa a very attractive option. It is about a short 15 to 20 drive up (north) the Kam Highway, across from Kualoa Ranch. It also offfers a great view of Chinese Man’s hat. It appears that overnite camping is also permitted in a separate area of the park; not sure about the permit/ rules etc. Nice spot for viewing sunrises, the park gates are scheduled to open at 7 am, though actual opening could be a bit later.

This regional park is located a Kane’ohe Bay on the the windward side of Oahu. It is an excellent place to view the “Chinaman’s Hat” or “Mokuli’l in Hawaiian. The long narrow beach and park were not crowded when we were there. There are clean public restroom facilities and free parking. Picnic tables and benches are scattered throughout the park on a first come, first serve basis. Across the street of the park are the mountains used in the filming of Jurassic Park. A nice quiet place to relax.

We stopped on our way to Kualoa Ranch to take pictures of Chinaman's Hat. It is a nice, large park with grassy areas and camping. We drove down to the far end and walked out to take pictures. The beach on a Friday was empty. There are great views of Chinaman's Hat and when you turn around you can see the Ko'olau Mountain range. The park is only a few hundred feet from Kualoa Ranch. I bet it is a lot more crowded on weekends!

We stumbled upon this park while looking for a place to eat lunch before heading to the excellent Polynesian Cultural Center. This park ended up being perfect. There is plenty of free parking, plenty of grass, picnic tables, trash cans, bathroom (and shower) facilities, and a nice long beach area. There were some paddle boarders and kayakers making their way to the island and quite a few birds around including some rather fearless cardinals. We enjoyed it so much that we came back here the following day for our lunch as well.

This is a gorgeous spot for photos and enjoying the beach. We were on a full island tour, so we couldn't stay long to enjoy the water. We got some great shots of Mokolii Island and Kualoa Mountains.
It would be a great place to spend the day and have a picnic. There's trees for shade and grassy areas along with a sandy calm shore.
The park is easily accessible from the highway with lots of parking.

Shelley M,
I believe you're inquiring about tours offered at KUALOA RANCH. They have a website, and sell tours thru VIATOR as well. I only briefly visited the nearby park for photos.
