Hawaii has so many nice beach parks like this one. We found easy parking and walked out to the beach with a picnic. There were open benches and picnic tables. It's spacious with people just enjoying the area. We saw several surfers head out to surf the waves out at the reef. It's a calm, enjoyable spot.

Went with family and friends to this beach to do stand up paddling. The water is calm and if you go further out you can catch waves on your board. Recommended only for people who are experienced at paddling boarding - it was the first time my husband and his friend had ever been and they fell off their boards and got cut up on the reef. The water is pretty shallow and there is reef everywhere. My uncle has gone to this beach often and seen many fish and sea turtles in the water - it is very beautiful to be able to paddle out with a sea turtle.
The parking lot for the beach park is very small so you may not be able to find parking depending on the time of day. The pavilion area and picnic tables are frequented by Micronesian families or homeless folks, but they keep to themselves and you should not feel bothered by their presence. We also met someone there who had gone spear fishing and caught many fish and an octopus.

I came to finish off the day near where I was staying. No plan other than drink a beer, eat some wings, and watch the sun go down. Went into the ladies restroom and was taken aback by a homeless person slumped over on a bench. Sure wasn't expecting that. A lot of people just sitting in their cars with the doors wide open.
The beach is very rocky. A few picnic tables and benches around.

I stopped because I saw a beach for the views. I don't know how it is for swimming but this wasn't very picturesque except for the pretty sun rising over the palm trees.

A safe spot to go, even for young children. I love this beach park for how much space you have and how few people there typically are. You can enjoy the beach and the ocean or enjoy the picnic tables. The water stays shallow very far out, so you can walk several hundred yards into the water before you reach the surf. The only thing you should be careful of is that there are trees there are twigs around the grassy area with pretty bad thorns. They won't send you to the hospital, but they will be extremely painful as I unfortunately found out myself. Other than that, enjoy another great piece of paradise.

This is a small park with facilities and picnic tables. It is a great place to take your stand-up paddle board!

No crowds.. Repeat NO CROWDS. I Stopped here because there was no crowds. So glad I did. This beach is definitely not touristy. It is so peaceful after dealing with the other beaches with the crowds. The locals are always so nice. We enjoy taking a break and enjoying this park.

Out of the crowd area this place is an oasis. Nice sand beach with a reef in front, very good for snorkel and diving. Tables and a bathroom are perfect.
