The Road to Hana is awesome! over 600 tight, curvy turns along a well paved and maintained road to take you through Maui's Rain Forest and some amazing views of waterfalls and landscape. Pack food and drink for an 8-12 hour day if you plan on completing the entire voyage. We were one of the 20% of folks that continue... More

This truly is a day long event. There are many stops on the Road to Hana. This is a testament to the adage, it's not the destination, it's getting there! I must say, it's a long trip and as much as you enjoy it, after many hours of driving, the thought of driving back is a little unnerving. That being... More

The road to Hana is everything I heard! I didn't understand why we would be gone so long but there are so many things to see and experience! The road is filled with visions of a rain forrest and waterfalls! Beautiful landscape and flowers, trees, vines and again.. waterfalls! I was able to swim under a waterfall that was a... More

Get the sites map and start your drive. There are many places listed on the map of sites of interest. A bamboo forest, a water fall you can swim under, a flower park ( this on had a slight price ) a park that then lead to a Black Stone Beach (this was apsolutly spectacular and the stones near the... We had about 9 hours to go down and back. It wasn't enough. There are many beautiful stops along the way: gardens, waterfalls, overlooks, hikes, beaches-- we stopped for just a few and still we didn't even get all the way to the end. I would do this again, but do better planning.

A lovely drive. Plan the entire day and start early. You want to give time for stops to soak in the view along the way. The road is narrow and one should not clock above a 30 in places. Over all a must do

Black sand beach, numerous waterfalls, gorgeous! Use a guide - R2H was great! Take a Dramamine if you get motion sickness!

We took two days to drive this road so that we wouldn't have to leaver early and turn around and drive the same road back. The first day we started on the road at about 10:30. By that time all of the people that intended to start early so they would have enough time to drive back had already gotten... More

We went to Hana and went all the way around. Believe me when I say the back side of the crater is so beautiful. And the road is fine. As long as you are respectful to other drivers, it's a one lane and gravely for a stretch. But the final jaunt is so amazing. There is also a waterfall off... More
