We did the tour with Valley Isle excursions. It is a long day driving, to stop and watch but you see definitely a lot. Taking 620 curves through the rainforest let you see waterfalls and small passages. You need to see the other side of...More

We rented a car for our week on Maui, so we drove the Road to Hana ourselves. It's a wonderful drive and we were not overwhelmed by tourist traffic. Lots of bridges, turns, waterfalls, lookouts, and history. We stopped a lot and drove off the...More

With zigs and zags that travel across 56 one-lane bridges and snake around more than 617 curves, fragrant ginger flowers scenting the air and spectacular cliffs plunging into the sea, this scenic drive was truly a heart-pumping adventure. It's a must when on Maui! My...More

A must see and do when in Maui....Your Maui experience isn't complete until you've been on the Road to Hana!! And I say "beyond", keep going, don't turn around at Hana, but be prepared for a long and winding and bumpy road, white-knuckle experience, but...More

I would go on a weekday, and not Friday. Second, we had a jeep. Last, I think we used Gypsy and it was very, very helpful! I didn't mention it in my review but I should have! Have fun!
