We planned our own excursion and reserved seats on the ferry to head to Lanai for the day from Lahaina. Ferry is $30 per person each way. Very easy and we saw lots of whales on the ride. From the ferry port in Malele its...More

The boat ride over we saw full breach of a whale. It was breathtaking. This beach is gorgeous. Such clear water and nice sand...the water was refreshing. I could sit and enjoy the ocean all day.

We went here a few times since it was right near the resort. It's beautiful there and very relaxing. Got lots of great views from the resort too.

Absolutely gorgeous however the day we went the surf was pretty strong so we didn't let our 8 year olds snorkel or even swim in the ocean. My husband, myself and my dad went out but visibility wasn't all that great. I highly recommend walking...More

Postcard perfect beach, no bikes allowed (trying to keep less objects, don't know??), good snorkeling when the ocean is calm, even if you don't want to go in the water you can just relax under the trees, enjoy picnic lunch, listen to the wind, surf,...More

Since I get over to Lanai several times a year, one thing I've enjoyed doing is biking down from town, and going for a swim. Over the past 25 years I have camped, biked, visited, and held family gatherings here but not this summer. I...More

There's a market in Lanai City (Richard's Market). (808) 565-3781. You can call them and ask if they have charcoal briquettes. The bigger issue is how you're going to get to Lanai City to buy them.
