There are only two sand beaches of consequence on Lanai. The rest are a collection of flats, cobble, and broken coral. One is Gold Sand Beach on the west end beyond Garden of the Gods. The other is Hulopoe Beach which is the subject of this review. Just to put something to rest before going any further while Gold Sand... More

A perfect place to swim, snorkel, dolphin watch, meet the locals and just relax. Waves can be pretty high at times but once you get out past them, the water is clear and welcoming. Watch fish as you swim!

I can't express enough how much our group of 9, ages 15-60 years enjoyed this beach! If you're arriving via Ferry this beach and lookout are literally within a half miles drive. That being said rent a jeep (we rented 2 for our group of 9 from Mikie at Adventure Lanai) and explore the rest of the island and it's... More

It's a scenic spot with beautiful blue water , red cliffs and natural pools. Very few people were here when we visited which enhanced the visit even further.

My wife and I stopped here for a picnic and stayed because it was so beautiful and there were so few people on the beach. This beach has a bathroom and showers, shaded picnic tables and grills, plus plenty of beautiful, sandy beach. Additionally, there is a great lava flow formed beach to explore. My wife LOVED this beach and... More

A sandy beach. Maybe I am just spoiled, but this was really nothing special. It was fine and there are public restrooms.

What a beautiful spot. Very family friendly. Lots of people camping in the beach park, but not at all crowded. Great snorkeling and calm surf. Often you can spot spinner dolphins offshore, but they were not around during out visit.

This is our 11th trip to this location and every time it amazes. The sand itself is very soft and lovely to walk on. The snorkeling is amazing with great visibility and variety of fish. The spinner dolphins do come into the bay to rest but according to the beach attendants less than in previous years. They attribute this to... More

Took fairy from Lahaina to Lanai to visit Hulopoe Beach for the day. Very short walk from fairy, 10 minutes, head left from dock. Beautiful crescent beach with good snorkling at the rocks on the left. Nice waves the day we were there. Lots of picnic tables and bbqs. Nice washrooms. Shade under trees and coconut palms. Several showers to... More
