We took the 2.5 hr trip, my husband was a little apprehensive but he ended up having a great time due to the wonderful staff and great horses. Our tour guys was so sweet and attentive, he took so many pictures for us, he really made us feel comfortable. the views are out of this world. if we had the... More

We did the 5 1/2 hour tour & it was amazing! Well trained horses, excellent guides, breathtaking views, peaceful ride through the forest, beautiful private waterfall with swimming hole (note: very cold water!). I was particularly impressed with our lead guide Jaimie. He gave really insightful & interesting history on the valley and on the island itself. He was very... More

Had a great 5 hour ride with Kevin as our knowledgeable local guide. Horses were very gentle and well behaved and the sights from high above the valley and waterfalls were awesome. My wife, son and daughter all enjoyed their swim under the waterfall. Water temp was "refreshing" but the memory is priceless.

We took our family on this horseback ride and had a great time, especially the kids. We chose the 5-hour ride with the waterfall swim. It was foggy and a bit rainy, but that added to the ambiance and it didn't stop the kids and my husband from swimming. The guides were knowledgeable and the horses were friendly and easy... More

This place sucked, unorganized, late, and then worst of all they have a weight limit on their horses? Never was told this and spent half my day driving out to them, make sure to ask every question when thinking about taking the trip. Had no alternative horse or plan at this place.

It is a family tradition to do a horseback ride - this scenery was some of the best! From the valley rim we looked up the valley to see the double waterfall and out to the sea where humpbacks accommodated by surfacing just then - and yes, they are that big that you can see them from that vantage point!... Booked over the phone an afternoon ride for myself and family. Read directions to pick up spot and it said on website one hour from Hilo. Left waikoloa area with enough time to arrive around 12:15. Instead it took 1 1/2 hours from Hilo and arrived at 12:45 with ride time at 1. Was not worried as we were early... More

Great way to see Wapio Ridge/valley. You meet the guide at the Waipio Valley Artworks store off Kukuihaele Road about 500 feet west of the intersection of Kukuihaele Road/Mud Lane. Parking is to the back of the store. Guide will transport you on a van to the horse stable. The Guide offers to carry bulky materials for you such as... More
