Beautiful scenery. The ride was very well organized. Do not pass on this because you have little or no experience riding horses. Corrina does a great job teaching how to ride a horse. During the ride she keeps you engaged talking with you and guiding you. We only had time to do the sunset and it was beautiful. The weather... More

Me and a good friend did a 2.5hr private ride. We had a great time! Lots of opportunities to trot and canter and our guide (Christine was her name I believe) was awesome! We've been in Hawaii for over a week and done lots of activities and adventures. This was by far our favorite! Nalu and Shami were great horses!... More

There were 14 people in our group, we spent most of the time waiting for our turn to trot (and the trot was only for a minute or two), then walk in line to another "opportunity" to wait in line as each person trotted or cantered for one or two minutes. There were three of these "opportunities". Avoid "Ula" if... More

The four of us had an amazing time!!! The view was just breath taking, the ride was very smooth and peaceful. We had a small group and it was just perfect. Did some trotting and cantering towards the end and that was really fun!!! We would love go back again!

One of the highlights of our vacation to the Big Island! Our group included riders with no experience through experienced riders and all felt this was an outstanding adventure! Group size was kept low (6 riders) and we were riding in hundreds of acres of wide-open ranchland in the mountains of Hawaii. The guide provided the perfect balance between great... More

Found these guys on the web when I was looking for something to do with our children in Hawaii. The other reviews I read were pretty good so we gave them a try. I expected some difficulties but mostly because my kids can get a bit timid when experiencing something for the first time. Wow!!! Was I impressed! Taking care... More

My pre-teen daughter and I took a private 3 hour picnic ride last week while my husband and son went on a tour up Mauna Kea. It was lightly drizzling when we arrived. The vibe there was very laid-back. I think my daughter's horse was named Coffee, and my horse was Polu. My daughter is a beginner rider and her... More

We came to the Big Island for our honeymoon, and I was looking for interesting and different things for us to do when I found Paniolo Adventures. I chose the Picnic Ride because it seemed like the best one for the price. The ranch was easy to find (a nice sign out front) and plenty of parking. They offered us... More

The horses are beautiful and you get two experienced riders to help you enjoy a sunset on horseback. They will even provide you with gear if you want to look and feel as if you are in an old west film.
