We stumbled upon this place by accident. We are so glad that we did. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. There were plenty of cookie and candy samples to try. Everything was so good, it was hard making a decision. My favorite is the lemon flavor w/creamy white chocolate, delicious. A bit pricey but, well worth the splurge.

This a great stop for those that want to taste the candies and cookies. There is plenty to buy here, but a 10 minutes stay will suffice to watch them make the delicious treats and scrumptious candies and cookies.

If you're looking for some kind of factory tour on the Big Island, and you were disappointed by the one at the Mauna Loa mac nut one, make sure you make a stop at Big Island Candies! Their assembly line is in the back behind glass windows so you can see how workers make the chocolates. They even work on... More

Didn't think the place was all that special. You could look through the windows and seeing them making some of the products and they do have quite a few free samples. If you see an employee dipping something that looks like shredded coconut in chocolate it is NOT. Actually it is a type of fish and no, I did not... More

Happened upon this place by chance. Upon entering, you are given a sample. They also have free Kona coffee to drink while you shop. You can watch them hand dip their shorbread cookies in chocolate right there in the store. They have shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate, dark chocolate, macadamia nut cookies, guava macadamia nut cookies & solid chocolate hibiscus... More

This is an absolutely gorgeous little boutique store, filled with super friendly staff offering tasters, and immaculately stocked shelves filled with an array of different creations. It’s fun to visit even if you’re not planning on buying anything – although chances are those plans will fall apart anyway. Their Rocky Road in particular is phenomenal. Another nice touch is that... In May, my wife Estraletta and I celebrated our 50th Birthdays in the 50th State. May was a good time since my birthday is in February and her birthday is in August. Hawaii, a tropical paradise in the Pacific Ocean, was an incredible location to enjoy natural wonders, learning about different cultures, and relaxing in a peaceful environment. We traveled... More

Terrific collection of site-made candies, cookies, shortbread, and coffees. Unique and flavorful. Great samples (those alone are worth the trip!). Would've given these folks five stars but for the premium pricing.

Delicious chocolate candies and shortbreads, coffee, and other sweet specialities with a view of items being hand made in the background. Who could resist dark chocolate crunch made with macadamia nuts and kettle style potato chip bits?

Beautiful facility, but the items are really over priced in my mind. It was nice to see the cookie production area, and the hand dipping of the cookies in chocolate. They offer some samples.
