A friend and I decided to check out the Holiday in the Park event here this year. We went to another Six Flags park two years ago to see what their Holiday event was like. This particular Six Flags park is one of my favorites, and management did a great job decorating the park for Christmas. The lights and other decor made it a festive time.
Most of the rides were running, and workers were moving people through the lines fairly well, even with covid-19 restrictions and policies in place. The only two drawbacks to this day was one of the security officers was a bit rude doing his job with having guests maintain the proper social distance requirement. I am sure he gets tired of doing this every day, but he could have been a little nicer to those patrons standing in line. People do get excited and sometimes forget this distance rule as they are having a great time at the park. A gentle reminder works better than barking at people. I am sure he was under lots of stress and tired, so I am giving him a little slack here. But for future reference, please be kinder to your guests.
The other incident was the first ride crew on Wicked Cyclone. I do understand the need to spread people out on the coaster train in order to maintain the proper distancing. However, if a guests asks specifically to ride in a certain seat, they should NOT be refused and treated rudely. We know where we do best on the rides. I know that sometimes workers need to seat people in order to fill the trains, but do NOT be Nazis about it. This was the first coaster we went on after we arrived. There were only three seats-worth of people in front of us, and they were directed to the front of the train. I asked if we could sit in the back and even said please. I was told, "NO! You will sit here where I tell you!" Whoa! NO need for that kind of response. A simple "no" would suffice. Get off your power trip. Later on, when a new crew was operating the ride, we asked to sit in the back and did not have any trouble. So, it was not a park rule but a worker having a bit of an attitude the first thing in the day.
Overall, it was a very good day at the park. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone during the regular season AND the Christmas holiday event.

Okay, it's definitely not Disney World nor anywhere near close but neither are the prices either. Disney World has priced most families out of going, and with cheaper Six Flags tickets this isn't the worst place on the list to go. Maybe my husband and I got lucky but every employee was pleasant and never interacted with anyone that was rude. We went on a Sunday and were able to ride everything we wanted by 2pm and with hardly any wait. I was sad the log ride was closed and the riddler but besides those two and splash mountain and sky buckets being removed, every ride was operational.
Now..the park is not that clean and rides are in need a paint jobs but we have went so many times, it wasn't anything new or surprising to us. The one major complaint is they took out of all the fans and cooling mists, so there wasn't any where to just cool off. I loved having the cooling mists in the past but there were none.
I have to say we enjoyed our day at Six Flags and will be back.

Why is the music BLASTING at the already chaotic and packed park entrance? Everywhere else the music is at appropriate levels. Why is at Level 10 as you walk in? Very overwhelming. I wanted to turn around and leave. The rides were great, but customer service non existent all day. From rides to restaurants, staff all seemed unhappy and many just mumbled behind their mask. The worst service was at the bar/restaurant across the street from Monster Mansion. My husband waited in line 25 minutes for a beer and a bottle of water. That needs to be set up differently to allow people who ordered food to pick it up out of the way, rather than holding up the entire line waiting on all your chicken fingers, etc. They also allowed line breakers, and were giving samples of different cocktails which took FOREVER. Finally, the bathrooms were disgusting. We spent a fortune on parking, tickets and platinum flash pass. I’d think customer service would be better, but nope. It was not. Customers are not valued by SFOG.

My six year old daughter and I visited the park on July 11. We purchased tickets and parking online. I recommend doing the same. We arrived around 10:30 and parked in the J lot. If
You can park from A-N, you are within a 5 minute walk to the front gate. I noticed other kits around the park, but no cars. Not sure if they are private or just not in use.
We had our tickets scanned. We didn’t have bags, so it made security a breeze. You can bring reusable water bottles into the park, but if anything other than water is in there, you may be asked to dump it.
Six Flags has gone cashless, but they have stations at the front gate where you can insert cash and get a card to use for payment throughout the park. Great idea, especially for kids.
Many bathrooms open, but none of the water fountains worked. You can fill up at one of the numerous fountain drink stations without paying. If you want something other than water, I recommend getting the chip card bottle, so you can just scan it and fill anywhere!
What about the rides? My daughter is 45” so there are a number of rides she could go on, but so many were closed, it wasn’t worth the full priced ticket. As an adrenaline junky, she wasn’t interested in the Looney Toon “baby rides” - her words, not mine. So, what did she enjoy? Mind bender, Scream Machine, Justice League, Thunder River, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn. Neither of us liked the Mine Train - really jerky and underwhelming. And that was it for rides she could ride that were open.
So, what was closed? Acrophobia, Dare Devil Dive, Go Karts, Log Jamboree, Pandemonium, Tower of Power, Sky Screamer, The Joker, Wonder Woman.
Although it was a fun day, I wouldn’t visit again. Too many rides were closed to make it worth the price. Also, what’s with the $12 processing fee to buy tickets online?

Management made adjustments based on the feedback. We were there when it opened Saturday morning and left around 8:30. Everything was calm doing our visit. I don’t see the need of having small children at the park after 8:30. Teenagers are running from the masked men and a smaller child could get injured. I suggest that you let the teenagers and young folk have it after dark. Anyways, flash pass was well worth it and the attendees would not let you ride until it was time. I want to commend the young people for doing their jobs so well managing the lines and rides. Based on previous reviews, I thought it would be a disaster but it was the exact opposite. Of course, restaurants were closed and the food lines were long but that can be expected at this present time. My family and I had a good time and we plan to visit one more time before the season end.

If you value your money you will not go to Six Flags. First off I want to say the employees were amazing. There were many times they did what they had to do. With that being said here are the reasons why Six Flags is not worth your money.
1. you don’t know until the day of if the park is at full, half, three-quarter, or a quarter capacity. I say this because I brought my boys there hoping that they would get a chance to ride the kid rides. Instead we spent the first 2 hours walking around trying to find a kid ride that was open.
2. After walking around with 1 to 2 rides open that they could ride we decided to have lunch. we ended up waiting for an hour in the line. And this was due not to slow service but if anything because the fact that the park only opened 2 of their 6/7 restaurants.
3. The park opened at 10:30 AM and closed at 6 PM. I purchased the meal deal with two meals, a snack and the unlimited drinks for four of us and was never informed or told that some restaurants would be closed by five. So you could imagine the craziness that ensued when around 5 o’clock there were no more restaurants opened except the one pizza place at the corner. While I was waiting in that establishment there was a large amount of people who were trying to get whatever food they had left which was semi-warm pizza slices. On top of that the unlimited pop or fountain drink option was a terrible idea because everywhere that I went syrup and or ice was always out. There were many times you were just getting out carbonated water.
4. I also purchased the game pass and on the day we went all the games were closed. I was refunded (this has yet to show up on my bank statement; the lady at guest services said it would take 5 to 7 business days for it to appear. I have yet to see it)
Lastly...
I just want it known that I understand that there is a shortage of workers at this time. That is absolutely understandable. What I don’t understand is why when I was ordering and selecting the day that I was to spend my time at six flags I was never informed that the Park and specifically certain kid rides or kid sections were going to be at 10% capacity or that the games or entire sections throughout the park was going to be closed. As I walked through the empty amusement park at noon, I had time to see how Six flags is a dying 90’s relic and regretted the time, money, and energy spent at this place. So if you want to donate your money to Six Flags go on ahead and spend countless hours walking around an empty park.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I took my daughter to Six Flags Atlanta yesterday and it was a horrible experience. It is definitely more run down and dirty. Some of the rides were closed and most of the snack places were closed. I realize that it was probably because of it being short staffed so I didn’t think too much of it, but the staff they do have left needs more training. For the few eateries that were open, the lines were incredibly long. When I finally was able to place my order, the person taking my order was very confused when I asked for an additional order of fries; she could not comprehend it at all. Then when I stepped aside to wait for my food, a cook from the back told her to stop taking in-person orders, that they were only fulfilling mobile app orders from then on. Instead of making an announcement to the next person in line and to the other people who had also been waiting at least 30 minutes, the cashier just stood there and stared at the next person in line and would not take her order but would not tell her why and it was incredibly awkward. No other staff made an announcement so nobody knew to make a mobile order or to try and find someplace else. In the long wait for our order, I noticed there were dead flies on the counter around the cash register. Since they were no longer taking orders, she just stood there awkwardly staring at customers, not even taking the most of an opportunity to wipe the counter of the dead flies, or help the kitchen. Food finally came out that belonged to the person who ordered before me and when I tried to tell them it wasn’t mine, that it was for someone else, she told me to take it anyway. Thankfully the right woman came and asked for her food and the cashier still tried to give it to me even though it wasn’t what I ordered. The other woman became frustrated and tried to explain that she ordered before me, and then I finally had to firmly say, “That isn’t my order, it’s hers,” and only then did the cashier give it to the right person. I’ve never seen such awkward, terrible customer service that made absolutely no sense. It was like this everywhere we went and people were getting extremely frustrated at the lack of basic customer service skills. The people working the rides were very unfriendly, and most of them didn’t use microphones to give ride instructions so you could not hear anything they said; they didn’t even try to speak in a louder voice, so obviously ride safety and making sure everyone understands is not a priority. One ride we went to (Scream Machine) broke down twice both times we were in line. Everything was run by young teens and I never saw any management in sight to oversee and help. It made me wonder how safe everything in the park was. I am extremely disappointed that I bought two season passes because I don’t plan on coming back and they are not refundable or transferable. I usually do not write reviews, but people should be warned before they waste their money. They could have a much more enjoyable family experience somewhere else for a lot less money.

This used to be the “go to” place for us as the kids were growing up but we noticed over the years that things were changing. We hadn’t been to Six Flags since early ‘19 and this trip this year is our last. This is only a 45 minute drive for us so it was a great place to spend a day ( especially with season passes ) and enjoy each other. But now? Wow! The park is very run down. Nearly all of the rides appear old and I maintained ( remember I said appear ). The landscaping isn’t being maintained either, very sloppy and unkept. We were there from 10am to 5pm and there was only two food/drink joints open and the lines were ridiculous. We finally go thirsty enough to wait in line just to find out that they don’t have lids for the refillable cups so they weren’t selling them. WHAT??? The to top it off they didn’t have ice! SMH. The big rides like Superman and Batman “broke down” regularly for extended times which made the lines for the other lines much longer. The staff??? I won’t use the word rude but nonchalant and uncaring fit pretty well. One girl I guess felt is was cool to use the mic like a rapper at the daredevil ride with her mouth up all on the mic, talkin like whoa Vicky for the safety announcement. Couldn’t understand a word of it. Let someone get hurt and that come up in the compliant. Anyway, it seems the park is really hurting for money which in the end makes me worry about maintenance and safety on the rides. The lack of investing money in staff, training and upkeep is VERY obvious.

Paid $35 each for meal plans and $460 for a platinum Flash Pass and couldn't use either. Six Flags clearly isn't limiting capacity at all and is even over-selling Flash Passes as evidenced by our inability to use them.
ALL major rides including Goliath, Batman, Superman, Scorcher, Dare Devil, Blue Hawk, and Thunder River read "line full" on the Flash Pass device for all or almost all of the day so we literally didn't get to ride any of them. Could have understood there still being a wait even with the Flash Pass, but they just kept shutting down Flash Pass reservations for the popular rides completely. When we were able to use it to reserve a few less popular rides (Monster Mansion, Sky Screamer) there was still a long wait even after our reservation time came and passed. It is very obvious they only care about getting as many walking purses in the door as possible.
All hydration stations were closed and the only option for food or our so-called "unlimited refills" was to wait in line for over an hour each time at one of the restaurants. Paid $24 for four bottles of water from a drink machine when we couldn't wait any longer.
I've asked for a refund on the Flash Pass given we weren't able to actually use it and instead had to repeatedly wait in the regular lines, but Six Flags hasn't responded to my email and I can't get anyone on the phone or using the chat feature. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKES.

I went yesterday with my family. My son is autistic and candy handle standing in lines for a long period of time, so we get the ADA pass. The wait times weren't bad at all. Pretty much got on every right within 2-3 trains of us arriving.
The lines for food were long, but I don't blame Six Flags. With Rona running rampant most people don't wanna be exposed to it and as a former grocery pick up clerk, I can tell you that they are highly exposed in the park. The Bird of Prey Cafe wait time seemed to be the shortest, What annoyed me most was that when they opened more windows the person in front of us, orders her stuff, then she had family members handing her money and giver her their orders off to the side so it took us about 15 minutes for them to get out of the way. I will say the girl who took our order Santi was very nice.
As far as the masks as rides thing, well all I have to say is if you want stay safe and not worry about catching Rona then don't go to a theme park. They can only do so much. We were on Superman when we had an issue with it shutting down for about 15 minutes after we headed up the incline, but we made the best of it and had fun with it. All the riders did.
Something others don't think about, with Disney and Universal Orlando going up to 300 just to visit both parks for one day, More and more people are going to places like Six Flags over Georgia. Therefore there is going to be more people in the park.
That being said, I'm trying to figure out why they have a reservation system where you have to reserve a time to visit that day IF they aren't going to stick to it. We purchased season passes back in Feb and reserved our spot to enter the park yesterday, when we got there the place was pretty packed. I asked the kid at the gate if he needed to see our reservations, but he said no just our passes.
But all in all it was a good day. I enjoyed it, my family enjoyed it and that's all that matter. We're already planning another trip next weekend.

Park is safe. The ride conductors were knowledgeable. And I did notice if a person was too heavy for the ride the did have to get off. And also the machine does not allow it to take off unless everything is clear

I would check with the park in which you purchased the membership. Mine upgraded automatically. There might have been a glitch in the system, so check with whatever park you purchased the membership from. They will be able to help you.
If I am buying the season pass can I add on a daily flash pass on specific day and not season flash pass?

I'm not sure if you can do that online, but you can just go to the booth when you enter the park and get it for one day, with a passholder discount on the price.
