Very pretty place to walk. It would be nice if the city would have some type of security in place. We felt safe in day time.

While living in Augusta we visited the Riverwalk several times. Generally it was a fun place to stroll during Farmers Market Saturdays. Downtown offers a few good places to dine also. Generally, I never felt that downtown Augusta was a particularly safe and secure place for evening entertainment although many people go there. Parking is a bit difficult and it... More

It is a beautiful trail and has nice shading. People are there from early morning until sunset running, walking, and biking.

The Riverwalk is a nice walk. It is right on the river. There is an amphitheater and other places to sit along the way.

The Riverwalk runs from the Augusta Marina to the Morris Museum, the lower level of the promenade allows you to stroll directly by the water, stairs and ramps connect in several places to the upper level which leads along the top of the levy. There is a kid's playground, and old waterwheel, historically significant plaques and monuments, even a Japanese-American... More

Augusta's river walk is beautiful and very nice to walk on. I love going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings and shopping from all the vendors. Fresh vegetables and fruit. Fresh baked bread and jams, coffee and ice cream. There is usually face painting for the children and plenty of music and art.

There are lots of benches that you can sit on when you get tired . Most of all the location is accessible to all restaurantts and bars, banks and other amenities that can... More

Not big on history but walking on top the levee and reading the placards about different parts of Augusta history was very interesting and made the walk a lot of fun. The lower section is shaded with meandering side walks and it was very comfortable despite the heat. Not a long walk, we started at the marina but we enjoyed... More

After dinner wife and I decided upon an evening stroll to let things settle. People were warm and friendly. River was nice and peaceful touched off by a mother deck and her ducklings paddling by.
