Nice walk. Very view. Several plackards to explain the area. On Saturday there is a market right off the Riverwalk. Good breakfast and local artists.

This is the best place to go for a long walk with family or friends. It is an unpaved path with massive trees lining both sides and the canal nearby. You can also go canoeing. You can also bring the entire family and grill and...More

Only Wilmington NC has a better riverwalk. This is without a doubt the best-constructed river walk I have ever visited if only they had more restaurants it would contend with Wilmington.

The river walk it’s self is amazing for great leisurely strolls and for very pretty views. You can see the properties located across the river and stroll along the path. The only down side is the area you have to traverse to get there. The...More

Nice views, lots of places to sit along the walk. There is a center where performances take place - the day we were there someone was there practicing their lines for a play.

This is a great place for a morning or evening stroll. Quite, scenic and gives history of Augusta. We even saw the train come through town and over the bridge at the Riverwalk

We were in Augusta as evacuees from Florence. We walked to the Riverwalk and spent a few minutes there. I can see it would be a wonderful place to "stop and smell the roses". We were tired and hot so we didn't spend much time...More

....Stagnant water, mosquitos and derelicts shortened my stroll here last week. The riverwalk has potential, but I think that the city needs to address the problem of so many derelicts with nowhere to go. We took a lunch to eat beside the river, and ended...More

On the town side of the levee (the upper part of the Riverwalk) are several restaurants... we were there one night and ate at Boll Weevil (Southern fare)… it was pretty good, and no reservation required...
