We attended a dynamic photographic exhibition by photographer Jerry Taliaferro. Mrs. Christine Miller-Betts is a phenomenal woman and director of this museum. She was such a pleasure to meet!

I enjoyed showing my daughter this house and learning about the history. Also, there are other houses and places in the area to visit. So make sure you take the time to also find them.

While this Museum has a great story to tell about Lucy Craft Laney, it is sooo much more. There is history of Augusta and the people who live/lived in Augusta. Corey Rogers - Historian at the Museum - is the best story teller ever!

Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History is a soft spoken elegant friend of history. The black story told of success out of slavery. Empowered to be proud of who they are. I came here before the city museum and I live it.

This, another living/learning experience of one's contribution into the lives of many. I was very impressed with Ms. Lucy Craft Laney's pioneering efforts in crafting education and social activism during her lifetime remains remarkable, as well as, UNFORGETTABLE. =September Reese= 3 May 2016
