Nice park, great views

This is a great park with lots of nature and paths to explore. The views are great and it's definitely something to check out if you're in Tegucigalpa.

I went here during the one weekend I had on my last business trip to TGU, it was worth the taxi ride. The views of the city are spectacular. There is a lot of walking involved and a few extra fees after you get to the park. There is a small zoo but I skipped that.

Close to the main city, nice for walking and see the view of Tegucigalpa from one of the highest point.

I was with a group of ten who just finished a church mission project in the Olancho District and we had one day to rest before our return to the USA. I thought visiting the Christ Statue would not take very long, but our group spent over two hours in the park altogether. We enjoyed the great views high above... More

There are a lot of collectivos making the run up the hill that can drop you off at the entrance, but I chose to walk. It's about 7km from Centro or palmira, mostly uphill, so it's a good workout! Plus you get to see some quite nice suburbs of Tegus and increasingly good views along the way. The main road... More

If you visit Tegucigalpa, El Picacho is one of the nicest place to go, it offer a nice city view, in a site full of nature and a pleasant breeze, you can relax and take good pictures, many Honduran Families visit it during weekends, it is very near the city, and I am sure you will love it.

As I local I go there once a month to have a jog or do yoga. We take our dogs out for a walk, and enjoy one of the best parks around the city. The view is spectacular. It is a family oriented atmosphere, where people do their kid's birthday parties.

I participated in a yoga class at the foot of the statue. The view of the city from up here is spectacular. Note that there is a fee to enter the park, another to park the car and another to go through the gate to get close to the statue. All total it might have been $5 usd.

This National Park features the Christ statue that overlooks Tegucigalpa. The park features several other points of interest.
