Only about 2 to 2.5 hours. Overall nice. No photographer fyi to take pix. Nice guide. Level 3 rapids. You do have to get out of the raft at one point due to low water, ok for us but might be difficult for very old or young.

Stay in La Ceiba, hostel 1877. Go and do the raft adventure with La Moskitia and I will ensure you that you will have the best time. Rafting in the river is awesome and the staff is really nice. They care a lot about safety (which is not usual). We even had a kajacking staff member with us who was... More

We did an 8 day trip from La Ceiba up Rio Platano to Los Marias again with Mino. If you love culture, history, nature and adventure and do not care for a lot of tourists, someone catering to your luxury needs and no surprises, then this is the trip for you. The reports say there are some danger in these... More

Meno is from Moskitia and hands down the best guide for an adventure into the jungles of Honduras. Although Jorge and Meno offer many hiking, camping and river tours, as adventurous retirees we chose a week-long wooden boat river trip. Our base camp without electricity or running water offered home-cooked meals for breakfast and dinner, raised shelters with netting over... More

First place turned up here as highly recommend in lonely planet (2 yrs out of date mind and new due soon), didn't look nice at all, tried to charge $20 per person for a dorm type bed which was far from worth it. Said no good and didn't make any attempt to give alternative...

I went with my kids (13+) and some friends. The experience was amazing and we all enjoyed it very much. Kids will definitely not forget it, as this was a great opportunity for amazing views, nature exploring. Guides were very nice and know how to make this a safe and fun activity!

we did a three-day hike on pico bonito jungle, sleeping in tents in awesome spots, and walking through the jungle, sometimes opening the way with machete! good adventure, just what we wanted. the guides really know what they are doing, and know all the little details about the flora and fauna of the place. the gear is brand new, very... This company is not just for adventure travelers. I teach college biology and I was very impressed with how knowledgable Jorge and Mino are about both the ecology and cultural history of the region they lead tours through. My husband and I took a day trip through Cacao Lagoon with Mino and a couple of young paddlers in a dugout... More
