The amount of work in each stone is just insane. Amazing to sit at the bottom of and just admire. If you're in the ruins you must see this! Hard to miss with large tarp covering it

This is one of the most impressive places I've ever been...!!! You shouldn't miss this sight. It is really interesting and one of the most famous pieces of maya architecture.

Very interesting sight. This 30m high staircase full of Mayan hieroglyphics is probably the largest single text in the world. The staircase is a record of the royal history of Copán, listing the names of kings, their births, their deaths, and the defining events of their rule.

I first visited Copan in 1985 before the Acropolis was excavated, and all I could remember was this staircase surrounded everywhere by grass and greenery--very much a jungle. Now... More

Located under a vast tarpaulin this can only be seen at close quarters but that doesn't really retract from the experience.

One of the most important Mayan sight that is worth to see and pay the entrance ticket to help it be renovated.
