The staff and guests at Captain Morgans are very welcoming and fun. After 2.5 weeks, I finally bit the bullet and took the shuttle to Leon but I missed Utila and the people here a lot. I did my open water PADI with Glauco and he was an excellent instructor. Great sense of humour, knowledgeable and always made sure we were... More

Utila is unlike anyplace we have ever been. Most people speak English. I think the insects may be attracted to Off. We had 3 different brands of repellent and were eaten up! Captain Morgan's was comfortable with great, patient, knowledgeable dive instructors. Scheduling is casual and flexible. Equipment is somewhat hodgepodge but safe. Not fancy or luxurious by any stretch,... More

After checking out nearly every dive shop in Utila, I ultimately decided on Captain Morgans both because of the vibe and the fact that they have SSI certified instructors. I am so happy with my choice thanks to a few factors. First, I had the most amazing instructor - Lukas- for my advanced certification. So amazing, in fact, that I... More

When I first arrived, Captain Morgan's made me feel at home, offering a beer and one of the best sunset views from their fouth floor hang out. With no diving experience, I entered the water and got my advanced degree. My instructor Glauco made sure that I knew everything, from theory in the classroom to skills underwater. My advanced course... More

I did my rescue diver at Captain Morgan, and it was a good choice! The hostel has comfy beds and it spacious. The bar has cheep good food and drinks. The atmosphere is awesome, you can both party and relax in the hammocks. - only downside is the kitchen, which is available for guests, but it is small, and it... More

Spent some days diving at captain morgans and everything was great. We left early on a Saturday morning and had checked out the night before but unfortunately we forgot to ask for our passports (which they keep in the reception during your stay) and the guy who checked us out didn't remember to give them back to us either. Saturday... More

Was in town to do a rescue course and couldn't have been luckier than to have Corrine as our inductor. Majority of the school seems to care way more about partying than the diving itself, but she is very professional, our course was very well led, she ensured everyone was confident and comfortable, and gave us all ample time to...
