Went over on a Saturday (had tried to go the day before, but were turned away as it was a cruise ship day), rode the "ferry" over for free and then spent an enjoyable few hours on the beach and had some drinks and lunch - all were great, staff were friendly and efficient - eats/drinks a little pricey.. Only downside is that they keep 5 tigers in an enclosure - this is wrong on so many levels - they said they were rescued and were awaiting relocation, but I'm not sure - very small enclosure with the only water to swim in being salt water, which they don't care for - that was quite upsetting.

Great excursion with RC, great beach day. Beautiful area with lounge chairs near ocean front for viewing only (rocky beautiful area) or beach front swimming in the calm lagoon. Had our own snorkel gear and enjoyed snorkeling with the kids in the lagoon area. Clean restrooms but small. Food was provided and ok. Purchased drinks and gatorades etc, service was good. We had ages 7-67 with us and everyone thought it was a great day. We had a nice table with a tiki umbrella for the day. Family friendly, kids loved the piñata and the host for that was great with the kids.

After a long bus ride from the west end we finally arrived at the dock, only to wait some more for the boat to pick us up for a short ride the big french key. A few emprisoned tigers were near the dock. There is a "nature" walk (a short path thru some palm trees), a restaurant with decent food and an area to sit by the ocean. Kayaking is available (xtra fee) as well as snorkeling (also xtra fee since a boat ride is required to take you to a safe spot). Another boat ride is required to take you to little french key where the pigs are, as well as a few more caged animals (jaguars, chickens, peacocks, a lion & pigs. There is a rope high above the water where one can swing and jump off. We paid $80 US each from our resort which seems pricey for the entertainment value. A long bus ride back and the next thing you know 5 hours have gone by, but hey I did swim with a pig. Oink, oink.

If you love animals, AVOID this place ! They keep 4 tigers in TINT CAGES with concrete and sandy floors. NO possibility for the animals to move around, feel sunshine , or grass under their paws. This completely ruined our day, and peolpe was crying. Our tour guide told us that a lot of people get upset by this, and that she can not understand either, why the hell they keep animals caged like this. We will NEVER visit French Key, nor travel with MSC Cruises EVER again!! We did not go there to watch animal abuse!!
