We were on a cruise in November and planned on doing the 1 mile drift snorkel with Herbert. The day our ship arrived it was pouring rain, and I mean pouring rain. We met Herbert at the designated spot as they tell you to show...More
Herbert and the crew at Roatan Ocean Adventures are the very best! He was on time for the pick up, professional and witty through the drive and spot on when we had to wait out a little rain before beginning our trip. His snorkel guides...More
I did quite a bit of research before chosing this tour company, Roatan Ocean Adventures, and chose it due to the high reviews it had gotten. It was not a ship excursion, which is always a little scary, hoping you get back to the ship...More
We were on a 7 day Cruise on Symphonyof the Seas and had never visited Roatan before. I don’t book my activities thru the cruise line just due to lack of personal service. Your experience will be customized and very thought out with ROA. Preston,Norman...More
Instructions from the boat were excellent. They were waiting for us and drove us to their private dock. Then we spent tons of time snorkeling. I’ve snorkeled in Hawaii and Mexico and this was truly the BEST. The water was so clear and pristine. Preston...More
This was a fantastic excursion. Much better then going to West End or West Bay and snorkling from beach. Did monkeys and sloths first and was fun. Did 3 snorkle stops. Second was best on reef by ledge. Divers were down the ledge. Like a...More

Working with Herbert was an amazing experience. We came into Roatan on the Carnival Glory, and Herbert picked us up right outside Mahogany Bay. He is immediately engaging, telling us about Roatan and the day we have planned. First, he let us detour to the...More
Herbert and his team were amazing! They took care of every detail, were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and we felt completely safe at all times. We never felt rushed, and of course the scenery was stunning. We had a wonderful driver, Alissa, who took us...More
This tour was recommended to me by two different colleagues. I contacted the owner, Herbert Woods by Facebook Messenger and received a response within minutes. The prices on his website are legit and did not change. We took 8 family members and they made sure...More
I've been reading a ton on here so I know who is often recommended and their rates. Someone in our group went to ROA website and saw rate of $850 for group of 6-10. Curious if anyone has been out with them ? Looked and no info on vessel size, type, captain. Thanks! Kim

Thanks! That's why I was curious about this group as rates much lower. The ones you mentioned are recommended here a lot. Someone in my group mentioned this as a cheaper alternative . My father was a charter captain in Tortola so I know how crews and vessels can vary. Looking for anyone who might know about the crew and vessel used by ROA. I know both trips can be rough - curious if one tends to be rougher than other (Pigeon vs Cayos) thanks! Kim
