My great uncle was one of the first 'gringos' to settle on Roatan in the 1950's and our family has been coming here ever since. I moved down here permanently a few years ago and opened up a business in West End. I was the first to bring the popular sport of standup paddleboarding to Roatan and began offering a variety of tours around the island by water and land.I love Roatan, its natural beauty, its people and the rich island Steve's Paddle Shack is the first Stand Up Paddleboard rental shop on the Island. We offer rentals and excursions to remote spots on the Island that you can only get to by water. Be sure to reserve your Stand Up Paddleboard before you arrive to Roatan. We have some of the finest SUP boards on the market. Stand up and Paddle Roatan now! Steve's Island Tours is now operating tours around the island into Oakridge throught the mangroves in a dory boat. My family started in Oakridge, Roatan in 1959 so the tour has become quit popular. book your east side tour now.

We had a great day with Verity and Steve. We paddled in Half Moon Bay and realized, after having some issues, that it was too windy and choppy to go out on a longer tour. Instead we jumped off the boat in the bay for...More

We took the time to locate Steve's which shares a place with a dive shop next to the Sundowner bar in West End. After being directed to the shack by some bar patrons (we couldn't find any signs) we found it to be closed this...More

I have been coming to Roatan for approximately 20 years now to visit my father. I used to come visit while I was on leave from the Coast Guard on short trips... Never really got out and did much recreational stuff on the Island. We...More

We enjoyed our time with Steve who was informative and engaging. None of us had tried this before but we were soon paddling around the bay. Not sure it's something I would rush to do again but it was fun to try

My husband and I just returned from our cruise to the Western Caribbean, which included Roatan, Mohagony Bay Port. We wanted something active so we searched paddle boarding and found Steve's. This is much better than a day at the beach renting SUP's by the...More

Sorry this is long overdue. My wife and I booked with Steve last year and could not have been happier with our decision. Luckily the day we booked was not busy and we were the only two on the tour. Steve personally picked us up...More

We had the good fortune to meet Steve (via an introduction at the bar beside his Paddle Shack). The server overheard us talking about wanting to travel to the east end of the island, and as luck would have it she recommended Steve. Steve picked...More
